We have had many funny Southwest flight attendants. I know that alot of people hate SW, but we love it. It seems like they let their employees be themselves which is nice.

Once, when we were landing, the pilot was going on and on like the plane was his horse and upon landing was yelling "Whoooooooooaaaaa" like he was trying to tame the horse. I suppose he could have just been crazy, but we were entertained.

I was on a SW flight either going to or coming from Vegas, and while our flight attendant was not nearly as funny as this one, she did manage to get a couple of 1-liners in the safety speech as well.

I am all for getting people to actually listen to the safety speech, and if "entertaining" the passengers with a silly safety speech does it - GREAT!

We were delayed one time, and the attendant entertained us by playing trivia. I never knew all the characters on Gilligan's Island had last names before that flight.

The number of hilarious flight attendants at Southwest is a main reason why I sometimes choose to fly their airline. It's certainly not price. Our local airport has only two airlines, one of which is Southwest and they're both the same price. Our only alternative is to drive to the next airport, over 100 miles away.

Aren't McAllen and Brownsville both inside 60 miles?

I was thinking of alternatives to airlines. Sorry, I guess I was kind of confusing. United is one of a couple at those airports also. For a real alternative of airlines, I'd have to go further. But you're right, McAllen and Brownsville are closer, and I have used Brownnville.

Gotcha. Back when I used to fly into HRL, American, and Continental were both there in addition to SW. But Continetal was a prop from HOU and American switched to props out of DFW (had been f100 jets). Some of my coworkers stayed on American jets by switching to McAllen. I just switched to SW. That prop ride from DFW took FOREVER

Our co-pilot easily gets excited so Don't pay any attention to him if he runs up and down the aisle shouting we're going down, we're going to crash unless he is wearing a parachute. He's only been right once.
