Funny disney related things kids have said

When my youngest son was 5, we were walking along the World Showcase when he saw several pigeons. Having heard me refer to them for years as "evil flying rats", he reacted immediately. He raised his arms with his hands as claws, roared at the top of his lungs, and ran at the evil flying rats. Unfortunately, between him and the evil flying rats was a bench, and sitting on the bench was a woman in her late 70's or early 80's, with the most surprised and shocked look on her face that I have ever seen at Disney World! She thought he was roaring at her!

We apologized, and told my son to leave the evil flying rats alone.

He had actually said a few words, the usual "Da" and "no", but the first time he actually tried to tell me something about a preference was a Disney moment.

I work from home sometimes, and if my husband is away at the time, I am sometimes guilty of using kidvid as a babysitter (I know, BOO! Hiss!). DS was not an early talker. He was about 22 months, and I needed to find something to keep him safely occupied for an hour, so I turned to the Disney tape collection. He saw me open the cabinet, and he started yelling, "bare tessies! bare tessies!" My first thought was, what exactly has your father been watching? ;) Anyway, I'm thinking like mad about what he is trying to tell me, when my eyes light on "The Jungle Book." Could he possibly be talking about "Bare Necessities?" It turns out that he was. He loved that tape so much that we had to get a second copy.

I read this thread Saturday night and laughed and enjoyed it very much.

Yesterday morning I was cleaning my house and my three-year-old granddaughter walked in and asked to help (she loves to clean and dust  and I couldn't turn down an offer like that. I gave her a dust cloth and asked her to dust my end tables. A few minutes later, she was carefully examining something with a her flashlight, and had a very intense look on her face. I finally got the courage to ask what she was doing. "Grandma, how do you tell the Pixie Dust from the regular dust?"

We left the dust...and went outside to play!

Today my 2 year old saw a large drop of water on the ground and said, "Mom, look a hiding (hidden) Mickey. There are his ears and his head." I looked and sure enough it looked just like Mickey's head.

Great stories! Here is my contribution:

Friends of ours had a Toy Story themed birthday party for their four-year-old son at a Chuck E. Cheese. He was particularly excited about the largest gift-wrapped box in his pile of presents. He ripped open the paper and yelled, at the top of his lungs in the not-very-crowded restaurant, "Look everybody! I've got a huge Woody!"

His Dad said "That's my boy!"

Given that some one else posted a "Woody" story. I have to add my own. My son who just turned 3 was potty trained pretty pretty early but we left him in the cotton trainers until last fall when I finally bought him some big boy pants. I went to the Disney store and got him a set of Toy Story underwear with Buzz, Woody, and the gang. The first time he wore the new underwear he ran around pulling his pants down and telling people to look at his "Woody" of course there was Woody on the front of his underwear. Of course when we started laughing so hard he took that as his cue to do it to everyone who saw him that day. Much to my embarassment!!

I guess it's not so cute when your hubby grabs the DD2 woody doll and says the same thing though.

however..... While we were staying at the All Star Movies resort over Easter we would walk past the Dalmation resort and DD2 would get all excited and squeal " Doma noma nations!!!" My hubby thought this was the cutest thing and would ask her over and over what that was as he'd point to the huge Dalmation. After 3 or 4 times she finally said "PUPPY!". We got a good laugh out of that.

She also calls Pinnochio "mickey O" and Chip and Dale "Chicken Dale". When she sees the castle at the beginning of Disney movies she starts squealing, " I go Dissy whirl!!!"

 ROTFL:p :p

Some friends of ours asked their son what he wanted for Christmas and his reply was this:

"A little Buzz and a big Woody!"

Dad smiled and replied "don't we all son - don't we all!"

Well, I'll have to be careful when I explain this, or I'll end up having my post edited...When my youngest dd was about 2, it was difficult to understand what she was saying at times. One night, dh brought her down to my office where I was busy working and said. "Tell your mother what you want." Dd responded, "I want the fock-in hound." "What????" was my reply. Dd calmly repeated, "I want the fock-in hound." After a few moments of stunned silence, I finally asked her if she could show me what she was talking about. I followed her to the VCR cabinet...where she pointed out the video that she wanted to watch, yep, it was "The Fox and the Hound."

That is too funny! :o Thank goodness when we can't understand them they can show us what they want!!! My little brother used to sound like that and when he said fire truck it really sounded bad, mom had to announce very loudly in public that he was right there was a fire truck!

At age 4 when asked what her favorite ride at WDW was, DD said "The buses".

My son would probably still answer "the monorail"....he actually thinks it's a ride!(and he's 7!)

Yep, older son did that, too. What's worse is when my sister would try to get him to say "dump truck". Oy.

"I want the fock-in hound."

OK, my secretary is threatening to have me locked up now. I've been laughing out loud for long enough that she came in to make sure I'm alright.

We had another "Disney quote" moment from my DGD, age 3 ("The Pixie Dust Kid"), last night.

She was on the phone with my sister-in-law, and having quite a conversation. Then she said "Aunt Janet, are you potty trained?" Of course, Aunt Janet is 39 years old, so I suspect the answer to that question is positive. When the conversation was over and I got the phone back, Aunt Janet was still laughing so hard she couldn't talk. Of course, we had told The Pixie Dust Kid (like so many other families ;) that you can't go to WDW unless you're potty trained--and Aunt Janet and her family will be joining us this year!

I know the name is officially "Tomorrowland Transit Authority", but my DH and I still refer to it as "WEDway People Mover", however it is my 6 yr old DD that loves this ride that she calls the "People Remover".
DH always replies to her, "You mean the Haunted Mansion?" I always laugh, but she doesn't get it. Yet!

We bought the 100 Years of Magic cd on our last trip and listen to it all the time. My 3 year old daughter loves to sing along. Her favorite? Grim grinning ghosts come out to 'squish your eyes'.
She also calls Epcot "Efcot".

For some reason my DD2 was biting her knee this morning. *shrugs* I kept asking her why she was doing that and she would just laugh and do it more. I finally said, "you're goofy!" She said "no I not!" so I told her she was goofy several times, finally she said, " You're Mickey!" I immediately thought of this thread of course, lol.
