My 3 yo son always announces to everyone everytime he sees a plane flying overhead that they're going to Disney to have dinner with Mickey Mouse.

Also, the Fox and Hound story is something I can relate to. One movie my son likes to watch is "The Road to El Dorado". There is one scene in there where the two guys are in a rowboat and the ship is heading straight for them" One guy yells, "Holy Ship!". An obvious play on words, and exactly the phrase my son decided to start repeating. At the time, we didn't realize it came from the movie, and you can imagine what we thought he was saying. In fact we were getting upset with him, and finally got it though to him that it was a bad word that he shouldn't say. A couple of weeks later we were over at Lake Huron with my in-laws and my father-in-law saw a big ship and pointed it out to my son. My son then went over to my wife and told her that grandpa just said a bad word. We finally were able to piece things together soon after that when my wife was watching the movie, and felt so bad for scolding him when he was saying "ship" all along.

After day 3 of my DS4's first trip to Disney, he was fully caught up in the Disney magic.

It started raining at Blizzard Beach. DS asked, "Mommy, is this REAL rain, or Disney rain?"

Just remembered one more. Same trip, DS4 after riding Small World for the 10th time or so asked, "Do these kids ever stop singing??" (He wasn't annoyed--just really wondering!)

We were at WDW for New Years this year, riding the monorail to the GF for DS9's Pirate Cruise. DS asked DH "Dad, when did you start coming to Disney World?" DH answered "Well, when I married your mom and she started dragging (yeah, right) me here." DS looked at me and said "Thanks, Mom."

When we were waiting to get our bags from baggage claim after arriving at MCO my DD asked me how our luggage got to the airport so quickly from Ct. I looked at her with a puzzled look on my face and asked her what she was talking about. She then said "boy , that must be a really fast conveyor belt!"

OK, my DS's first trip to WDW was also his first plane ride (he was 2). During takeoff he asked, "Are we going up a hill?"

On the way back, we had a prop plane for a short segment. The prop was outside our window, and when they started it up he said, "Did they turn on the fan?".

Oh this reminded me of DS then age 2 who watched "Judy and the Beast" every day for 2 months straight. He also watched "Snow White Slamming Doors" a great deal.

On our drive back home to the midwest after a Disney trip, I was trying to occupy our 9-yr-old by recalling things we had seen on our trip.

I was mentioning various things that we had seen and then asking her if she knew how to spell them. She was doing great, but she cracked us up when I asked her to spell "Juggler" .

Her response? "J U Double-Guh LER " !!!

On our last trip, our DD (then 3.5) loved the Mad Tea Party. She kept saying 'let's go for coffee!'. We looked at her strange and asked 'Coffee?!! Why would you want coffee?!!'. But she kept saying 'No! I mean coffee!'. We finally got it when we passed by the ride and she pointed: 'See? Coffee!!!'.

Now every time she sees a picture or a video of the ride, she always points and says: 'Mom! Dad! Remember? Coffee!'.

When we were on the Disney Cruise we kept seeing the "Grand Princess" ship who had the same itinerary.

In St Maarten she was moored next to us again and when we were on shore there was this little British boy pointing at the Disney Magic and saying

"Our ship is better than that one ~ Daddy says it has mice."

Not REALLY funny, but I pointed to a picture of the Poly and asked my DS (age 5) what hotel it was. He said, "Caribbean Beach". I said, "No... that's the Polynesian. Which one is this?" (pointing at picture of CBR). He says, "Beaches and Cream. " My DH and I must talk Disney more than we think.

My DD 4 at the time, asked Cinderella where her husband Prince "Charms" was.

To get ready for my DD3's first trip, we've been listening to the Disney music in the car. Her favorite song. Saludos Amigos. Her version is, "Some noodles, some pasta, some sauce."

She has also seem video of tne teacups. When she asked Daddy if he'd go with her, DH replied, "Sorry they make me sick."
DD came to me and asked, " Why is Daddy allergic to the teacup ride?"

Flashback to when DS was six. It was his first trip to WDW and his first plane trip. When the seatbelt sign finally went off after we landed, everybody stood up and DS very loudly and excitedly said, "Oh, good! Now we get to go down the slide!" At least we knew that he'd paid attention to the safety speech; he'd just missed the little part about "in case of an emergency." As it dawned on people what he was thinking, there were lots of smiles his direction.

This is Disney related only in that we hear it alot when we are driving back and forth between WDW and home. Home is in
Virgina. My3yo DD seems to think we live a particular female body part. It's so hard not to laugh.

On our first family trip, I apparently went a little overboard with planning character meals. After 6 consecutive days of dining with the characters, we just had a "normal" dinner planned for the 7th night. I was concerned about how my DD and DS (at the time 5 and 3) would react so earlier in the day I explained to them that there would not be any characters at dinner that night. My DD looked at me and said "Good - I finally get to eat in peace!!"

This is Walt Disney related, but WDW related. Last month we were at a local minor league baseball game. Armed Forces recruiters were there and had an obsticle course set up behind the stands. Our 9 YO son asked if he could go on it. I dispatched him to run down and find out if he could go on it. He came back and reported that it was free, but you had to be at least 10 YO to go on it. I said "Sorry, but your not old enough." He thought for a moment and said "But Walt Disney lied about his age when he joined the army!" I laughed and gave him an "A" for effort, but said "Sorry, no dice".
