Funniest Pose you have ever done on the Attractions with Cameras

I know all of us have smiled for the camera on attractions like Tower of Terror, Splash Mountain, or Test Track. But what is the best pose you have ever done on those attractions.

Reading the park guidemap while the picture is being taken is my best pose, so when everyone else is scared out of their minds I am doing some casually reading.

I saw two men doing the same thing on ToT! My sister and I laughed our *sses off when we saw this picture. We thought, "how in the h*ll could they pose like that while we were falling?" They looked as if someone snapped the picture on Main Street...totally natural...like, "we've done this, now what are we tackling next?" It was the funniest attraction picture I've ever seen.

...hey, that wasn't YOU was it? ;)

I have recieved the same reaction from other guests that ride in the same elevator as I. It brings a smile to my face when it makes other people laugh, and it is the best feeling when others actually decide to buy the photo for themselves, because of the pose that I did on ToT.

And you never know it might have been me on your elevator.:smooth:

but the funniest thing I've ever seen is my husband on Tower of Terror. I don't ride it anymore, by the way.

He rode once and got that top center seat. The picture had everyone laughing their you-know-what's off. He had his hands help up over his mouth...kind of in two fists. His eyes were huge - bulged out. I think it could have been the reflection from his glasses but it's the funniest thing I've ever seen. Of course we bought it.

It wasn't an intentional pose, but me screaming like a little girl when the test track car was heading straight for the wall.

It was my first time on it, while the rest of my family knew what would happen. I heard my brother say, "This didn't happen last time, why are we headed at the wall".

Got great picture of me screaming and ducking right before we hit the wall.

Gratefully they decided not to buy that picture, but bring up the story all the time.

I wasn't expecting that giant carnosaur. At all.

And so our picture features me throwing my arms over my head, while simultaneously trying to burrow into my husband's shoulder like a giant sunburned prairie dog.

Needless to say, he bought the picture despite my protests.

hee hee, on our last trip to an amusement park about 2 weeks ago, hubby and I were posed looking at our watches.....we were on a huge rollercoaster, and we looked bored as all get-out!

Our friend sitting behind us pretended to be napping, head flopped over to the side and his eyes closed. Goodness, it was a riot! LOL LOL

This was probably 8 years ago when the original Imagination ride was still around. Near the end they would take your picture and put it on a big screen (not for sale, just for a momentary show). My father and I had ridden many times and knew when the picture was coming up. We put each other in a strangle hold, hands around each other's neck, tongues sticking out etc. It was a riot. The CM at the end of the ride could see the picture. He was cracking up over it and told us as we exited that there was no "killing" at disney.

We also sometimes do silly poses for the camera. The best one was when we all pretended we were either asleep or bored, it looked really good! We never bought it though :(

This is also one of our faves: it's not a good pic cus it's just a photo of the photo, but you get the idea :)

My daughter made one of the funniest faces on that ride when she was about 9 years old. I had no idea she made this face and when the picture popped up, I burst out laughing and so did the people in the cars behind us. I have that on video tape.

ROFLMAO!

My son is a great one for doing something when the camera is taking photos. When we go on Splash Mtn. I am sitting with his girlfriend and he sits alone behind us. He always said he wanted the leg room (he's 6'5") but I think it's because he wants to do something for the camera.

One time he was looking backwards towards the opening of the drop. I've tried to do that but have never been able to (too scared even after all the times I've been on that ride). Another time he was asleep. When we were there in May and had Skippy the Disney Magic Orange with us, he had it sitting on his shoulder. I didn't buy that photo and I've been kicking myself ever since. :(

We did this on all the rides with photos our last trip. On Dinosaur my DD and I did the "Junior Birdman " pose. Everyone else in the car with us has a terrified look on their faces, and the 2 of us are smiling with Junior Birdman glasses on:D

when we go on a ride that lets 4 sit side by side , we do the "YMCA" for the camera.

It is neat to see at the end and brings extra smiles when others say "hey look at that"

One time during an e-ride night, I was able to ride on Splash Mountain all by myself. I happened to have my refillable mug from the Wilderness Lodge with me, so I took it out, held it up like I was getting ready to take a sip, and put my other arm across the back of the seat. It was like I was sitting on the couch, enjoying a cup of coffee. The cast members who saw it were in hysterics over it. I bought the picture--it's neat to have one of just me on the ride.

When I travel with kids, I always play it up for the camera, acting really petrified in the pictures. The kids get the biggest kick out of it.

On TOT, I was there with a good friend who's daugther we had just dropped off for the college program. It was my friends first time on TOT, and for that matter first time ever at WDW. Without trying, she got the seat belt seat in the last row. We weren't doing anything in particular, in fact she didn't even know there was a picture. Well, we laughed our heads off when we saw the picture. She was scared to death that there was no bar in front of her. So she braced her legs and arms spread eagle. It looked so funny and everyone around us was cracking up. Unfortunately, she would not let me buy it. I'm killing myself that I didn't get it.

2 years ago I was on an all girls trip with 3 close friends. The day we arrived was my one friend's birthday, and we had bought those blow out party favors...the ones where you blow into them and they unroll. So we're on TOT and we all blew on our party favors when the camera snapped. It's a great pic and one of the few I've ever bought.

DD and I are hardcore coaster fanatics. We have presented my DW with over a dozen different coaster pictures where DD and I are holding up signs saying "HI" and "MOM" respectively. They adorn her wall at work. In some cases we've had to ride two or three times to get a shot worth buying. The people selling the pictures are always floored. Surprisingly, we don't have any from Disney yet, but we'll fix that on this trip.

On the Rock N' Roller Coaster, they take your pic one second after the launch. We posed with the person in the drivers seat holding an imaginary steering wheel & making a "road rage" face and the person in the passenger seat looking terrified, mouth open, holding arms up in the defensive pose. Try it, it turns out fantastic, because the paper frame they put the pic in has a cartoon barricade that the car is smashing through! Watch for the green light & pose! :smooth:

BTW, there have been other threads about Splash Mountain being called "Flash Mountain"! Apparently those pics mysteriously get deleted. And they don't even serve alcohol in the MK! Imagine if they did?!? ;)

We went to SM on e-ride night years ago and we did it a few times in a row so we knew there was a flash right at the top so my dad told us all to smile for the camera, everyone else is laughing and just being normal but i have my arms straight out in front of me clutching the bar, huge grin and extremely wide eyes. They bought the picture despite protests and have thus dubbed it sparky since it looks like im being electricuted Im going again in august and will definetly have to try some of those bored poses sounds hysterical

My friends and I all took out our cell phones on SM. It was a very LA moment! Turned out cute too.

Also have never done this at Disney, but have done it at plenty of other theme parks. The amount of planning we put into some of our photos, we're hoping to get it recognised as an Olympic sport soon - Syncronised Posing!

Our best photo so far was on a log flume style ride where the photo was taken halfway down the final drop. Everyone else's photos had them looking straight down the hill petrified, but our group of four had to be different...

Everyone looking straight into the camera (we'd ridden it before so we knew exactly where to look), all with really cheesy grins and with our arms stuck out, but all at different angles. First person was straight out like an airplane, second was slightly raised, third was at about 45 degrees and me at the back both arms straight up. The effect was superb!
