>> Funniest Overheard Comments Part II <<

I overheard a guy respond to a pretty restaurant hostess that there was ONE person
in his party---then his wife and kids arrived!

LOL! Was this the guy?

In line for TSM, next to the toy box that lists both the US and Canada prices for the toy... the family in front of us struggled for about 5 minutes on how to pronounce "CANADA".. I heard "Keenada", "Canda", "Sanada". It was so hard not to laugh.

The mom then says, all flustered, "It must be down south, near Mexico". I'm from Buffalo, and Canada's our neighbor so I figured everyone knew at least how to pronounce Canada! And for the record, they weren't foreigners.. they had family reunion t-shirts on saying they were from Utah.

There is a city in California...La Canada. Its pronounced La Can-ya-da.

walking to the Contemporary from MK there was a mom, a little boy and a little girl about 5 and 6.

little boy: Mom! Mom!!!!! Did you know Walt Disney is a REAL PERSON!?!?
mom: Yes honey
little girl: He made this whooole world!!!
little boy: Everything Disney he MADE!!!
little girl: Like the Disney channel, Disney XD, everything Disney he created!!
mom: Yea.
little boy: He must be pretty old.
little girl: Probably dead by now.

SOOOO CUTE

I remembered another one. Also in the bathroom. lol

I was quietly doing my business and out of nowhere, a small child in the stall next to me wails, "No! Pleasedon'tflush, pleasedon'tflush, pleasedon'tflush! I'm not readyyyyyy!"

I about died trying to hold in my giggles. I finished my business and went to the sinks. Then the mom and the little girl came out of the next stall. I gave her a smile and she said, "I'm so sorry about that. The automatic toilets have gotten her in the past."

I chuckled and left, but I keep wondering what she meant by "gotten her."

I can understand how confusing that can be considering Canada is the second largest country in the world and has a population of over 34 million. I can see where people would mistake Canada for La Canada. Easy mistake to make!

:lmao:

That is seriously terrifying.
Are you sure they weren't kidding around?

While we were waiting for the boat to Downtown Disney I heard "Life's too short to live in Illinois."

Well alrighty then.

Got two more on this most recent trip:

Getting in line for the busses at the end of the night at EPCOT. There was one other family already there with two little girls, one around 4 and the other around 6. Now we walked up in mid-conversation so I have no idea what the context was, but the younger girl turns to one of the adults (mom?) and says "It's only funny until the cops show up!"

Waiting in line for Test Track. We were almost to the loading area when I hear a guy tell his two sons, "You know this ride would be scarier if your mom was driving." :rotfl:

On our most recent trip to Disney, the first week of October of this year:

At Hollywood Studios on a fairly crowded day a husband and wife were arguing about something and she says:

"There's people EVERYWHERE and I don't like it" :rotfl::lmao:

I was thinking, "really?? You came to Disney thinking it wouldn't be crowded ??"

At Epcot the next day we were coming off of Soarin' and there was a family in front of us. Two daughters about 7 and 4. The older one had hurt her hand, bumped it against something, and she was crying. The father says, "come on, you will be OK". And the youngest one says, "Yeah, there's no crying at Disney"'

Just thought I would share :rotfl2:

Overheard by DH today at AK, mother speaking to child: "Are you feeling a little less vomitacious today?" LOL

Well alrighty then.

 Is that why they always come to Milwaukee/Wisconsin then???

Life is too short to live in Illinois. Trust me, I would know; there's absolutely nothing here, plus it's winter pretty much all year.
Just makes Disney trips all the better.

Now back to your regularly scheduled discussion.

(1) On the boat from POFQ to DTD, the boat driver told us that Walt died two weeks before WDW opened and Roy died two weeks later. Umm, yeah . . .

(2) Man sitting at a table drinking a beer at Animal Kingdom: "This park is really run down. The pavement is all cracked, the paint on the buildings is peeling, the signs are faded. I just don't understand why Disney doesn't do a better job of upkeep." I couldn't resist, I told him that AK is supposed to look like this. He still didn't get it.

(3) CM at the entrance to the Discovery Island Gardens, "No, there are no trails around the tree or anywhere near the tree. Just this picture trail." Ok, so how did I get all those closeups with my cheap camera?

Here's another- we were watching Mickey's PhilharMagic and those of you who have seen it know that at the end, Donald goes crashing into the back wall. As he says "Uh oh" and falls down the hole and crashes, a little girl in the row in front of me yells "Are you alright Donald?!" loud enough for everyone to hear her. It was so cute.

We heard something similar. A little girl told her mom she wanted to go back and see if Donald was alright. It was so cute.

I believe I read somewhere on here that an Imagineer was quoted as saying (about Dinoland, USA specifically). "Do you have any idea how much it cost to get it to look like that?"
