>> Funniest Overheard Comments Part II <<

A little girl on the monorail to EPCOT said this about Spaceship Earth, "They should drop that on New Years." Her mom then said, "How? How would they do that?"

Yeah, but can you imagine!

Walking through EPCOT as the Monorail was passing overhead
"Wow Momma look at that"
"I know wouldn't it be nice to ride on that"
" Ya but it's just for transporting the employees around, too bad because that would be neat"

At Islands of Adventure - a young family with several small children, near the shop where you get a parchment with your family crest/name:

Dad: They didn't have our name
Mom: Did you look for __________ (her maiden name)
Dad: No, you were rushin' me
...pause...
Boy (about 6 years old): Wait, Mom's Russian?

I didn't hear this, but a friend of my DD did - at the Poly, a mom was telling her child something like, "Come on, kids are supposed to have more energy than adults!" And the son responded, "But mom, I'm a fat kid!"

:eek::eek::rotfl:

While waiting in line for Thunder Mountain Railroad, the little girl in front of us said, "Mom, what time are we going to Circus Ole' ?"

At Disneyland last Friday: DS5 asked if we were going on the "Pokey-dokio" ride next. Not sure if he meant the Pinocchio ride or the Storybook Canal boats, where you go through Monstro's house-sized mouth.

LOL so this is embarrassing but I was watching an old Disney tape of me and my best friend...from one of our first visits before we knew ANYTHING. This was at Epcot while we were in line for Soarin' and I decided to interview her about our day.

Me: So what are we doing tonight?
Grace: Well I think we have a princess dinner and then we are hanging around to watch the fireworks?
Me: There aren't fireworks in Epcot?
Grace: Yeah there are. It's called "Imaginations". (insert little funny hand movement which made it look like she knew what she was talking about).

SERIOUSLY just saw this the other day and we couldn't stop cracking up.

I have a friend who calls it that, too. And she's serious, bless her heart.

Too precious! When he was about 3, my DS used to run around with a magic wand, zapping everyone and telling them, "I magic you into a real boy like 'gocchio!"

Well, this one's actually from DL, but you get the idea.
We overheard this in line at Pixie Hollow.

Lady 1: Everyone, start clapping! She just said she doesn't belive in fairies!
PH Character Handler: -clapping- If Tink dies, it's all your fault!
Lady 2: No, I said I don't believe in Peter Pan. There's a difference.
My momma: -aside- not really..
PH Character Handler: How do you not believe in Peter Pan?
Lady 2: He annoys me. People who annoy me don't exist.
Me: -aside to mom- I wonder if wee can do that with all of the rude guests...

And then my momma and I started cracking up! Almost everyone within earshot had been clapping this entire time. It was great!

And, also on my recent trip to DLR, there was this teen boy who, completely seriously, told his little brother, "Look! We can go ride Splash Mountain after the fireworks!" He was pointing at BTMRR. :lmao:

In line for TSM, next to the toy box that lists both the US and Canada prices for the toy... the family in front of us struggled for about 5 minutes on how to pronounce "CANADA".. I heard "Keenada", "Canda", "Sanada". It was so hard not to laugh.

The mom then says, all flustered, "It must be down south, near Mexico". I'm from Buffalo, and Canada's our neighbor so I figured everyone knew at least how to pronounce Canada! And for the record, they weren't foreigners.. they had family reunion t-shirts on saying they were from Utah.

That's not funny. That's just scary! :scared1:

LOL! Somebody I work with is going to WDW in a few months and said she got tickets for Circus Ole.

A few I heard on our trip (just got back yesterday):

-At the MK we were in Toontown and had just finished walking through Mickey's house. There was this father and his daugther who were about to go through too but were going in the exit. The dad said "come on, let's go in!" and the girl was like "Dad, it's an EXIT!" I know, not super funny but atleast the kid realized they were going in the wrong way.

-At Epcot heard another reference to Fast Track. Again, the kid corrected the adult and told his mom it was TEST Track. haha, atleast the kids all know what's going on. ;)

-We were at the Boardwalk Wednesday night and were watching one of the performers. He was just about to finish his act where he was going to swallow a sword. There were a whole bunch of kids sitting up front, all in awe. Well, one father comes and taps his daughters on the shoulder to leave...they must've had some dinner reservation they needed to get to. Needless to say the girls were not happy. The first one was like "Dad, I want to see this!" The second one was like, "Yeah, he's going to swallow a sword!" Not so much funny as cute because they really wanted to see the grand finale! :cutie:

-At the same show at the Boardwalk, right before he was going to swallow the sword the guy asked the crowd why they shouldn't try it at home. One little boy shouts out "Because you could die!"

What is Circus Ole? Is it something at a different theme park?

They actually meant Cirque du Soleil (at Downtown Disney) but since they didn't know the real name they called it Circus Ole.

-------------

I just thought of another one from our trip...we were in line for the Gran Fiesta Tour and this lady kept calling it the Three Caberreros. She could not pronounce Caballeros for the life of her.

We were in the Rose Garden at the MK, waiting for the fireworks to start. The lady in the family next to us says "What is the point of that grass if no one can walk on it?"

Here's another- we were watching Mickey's PhilharMagic and those of you who have seen it know that at the end, Donald goes crashing into the back wall. As he says "Uh oh" and falls down the hole and crashes, a little girl in the row in front of me yells "Are you alright Donald?!" loud enough for everyone to hear her. It was so cute.

I can't quite figure out how to copy and paste someone else's text - but the comment regarding "why would you want a child that doesn't look like you" is so mean that it's hard to believe that someone would even say it. (not that I don't believe it was said). WOW! I don't know if there's even a snappy, funny comeback that could be made. Maybe, I think she does look like me with an innocent expression on your face?

Just reading these now but I think my comment to the IGNORANT woman who made that comment -- If I looked like YOU I'd make sure to have a kid that didn't look like me.
