Well, i figured i start this cuz i wanted to share something that happened to me today at DCA...

I did a glow cart today at DCA, and somehow i ended up doing the only roaming cart going up and down the parade route. Guess what, its almost Electrical Parade. My manager loves to have us go right before the parade knowing that people would buy them, but today, my manager went to talk to another cart and we ended up leaving like 200 ft ahead of the parade... Since im glow, i decorated my cart with the glow necklaces, and as i go to the most crowded of the parade, the lights went out, the music starts, everyone was cheering me on cuz it looks like part of the electric parade. it was funny because they were cheering soo loud like they cheering their football team on.

My manager and I laughed soo hard.

so whats yours?

LMAO oh man thats awesome! :rotfl2: That just made my day. Thanks for the story. I dont really ever recall having any moments to really share as Ive only ever been on a disney vacation once. But maybe when I go back in may I will have something to share. :goodvibes

Albort. That is too funny. Did you want to run in slow mo for the crowd like Chariots of Fire?
I have posted this before, but it is one of the most memorable things in my mind. I was holding my then 2 1/2 yrold Dniece. SIL (hi ODF) and I thought that it would be easier to carry her instead of her walking onto Storybook Canal ride. Well, I fell over tring to ge onto the boat. Not into the water, thankfully. Dniece wasnt too happy with me then, but now (at 6) asks if I remember when I fell holding her, and 'wasnt that funny?' We giggle about that all the time. I guess you had to be there.
Last trip in Jauary DSS (12) and I posed with one of the Indian statues with DSSs Goofy hat on (the statue). That pic cracks me up. (I should put that in my sig.)
PS Albort, LOve your posts.

Albort, this is so funny. It reminds me of when we went to WDW in March we were waiting for the lighted parade to start. I saw some lights headed our way and assumed that it was the parade starting. As it got closer I realized that it was one of the glow carts. I laughed!

Heres another funny momment...

I was taking my 15 min break watching the Georgia vs. Virgina College Football game drinking my soda and eating my Rice Krispie... all of sudden i heard a big bang on the window to my left and saw Pluto staring at me... so i instantly waved to him and went back to watching the game... so he bangs again and this time Stitch was there too... i wave again but this time they point at my rice krispie. Then i was like, they must want it, so i put my rice krispie close to the window and they try to dig for it... then i started moving it in circles and then in squares as they try to get it... then i shrug and started to eat it again...

hahahahaha!

Came across this old thread when I was browsing some of the older pages on this board . . .
A kind of funny thing that happened on our last trip to DL . . .
My 3 year old dd loved the roller coaster in toontown. She thought she was so cool raising her arms in the air on that ride. So then we decide to go and get on the Disneyland RR. We get all seated and my dd raises her arms in the air. Apparently, she thought the RR was a roller coaster. They are still boarding the railroad and she will NOT put down her arms. My husband and I are laughing so hard at this point. Her 7 year old sister was mortified and kept telling her to put her arms down and that it wasn't a roller coaster. Nope, she just kept her arms up with a huge smile on her face
Ah, kids . . . :rotfl:

A glow cart parade.:rotfl:

One of my funniest memories is of my then 4 year old ds sticking his arms, head and shoulders into the walking/talking garbage can. I had to pull him out of there before he fell in. He wanted to see if someone was in there or what. I have a pic of it, too.

I rememberd something that happened to me, and its in my trip report.

I went to the creepy Tiki room and as the show began the cast member came out to say "Hey everone on the count of 3 say WAKE UP HOSE"..... So when we woke up Hose and Hose started to talk, his head fell off.

The cast member said "I need everyone to leave before this disturbs the children".... So we were all shuffled out of there and the show was closed for the day.

I laughed till I nearly peed my pants.

This is FUNNY!:lmao:

I only have a couple of mildly funny moments at DL.

The first one happened on Main Street. We sat down to listen to a piano player. The music was kinda fun and chipper, so I picked up my "then" baby boy Luke and started to dance around with him in my arms. Little did I know that I had sat in bird poop. I noticed other people sitting in the area giggling and pointing at my butt. I turned around, bent over a bit, and proceeded to ask my DH, "Did I sit in bird poop?" "Oh, heck....I'd sure say so," he said, also laughing at me. Then HE grabbed a couple of baby wipes and proceeded to wipe off MY butt, which quite frankly, probably looked pretty funny too.

The other funny thing that happend was when I was taking Luke, who at the time had just turned 2, onto Winnie the Pooh. (DH had taken our older son, Ryan, to ride Splash.) Anyway, there's hardly any line to speak of and we basically walk right on. The cute young girl CM who loads us onto the ride says to Luke, "You are SOOOOOO CUTE!" Then Luke proceeds to say, "No I'm not cute! I'm Luke!":lmao:

OK this is just weird, but…..The first time I went to Disneyland was in the early 80’s. One of the rides that I can’t ever forget is Small World. Two of the dolls costumes were ripped and you could see the mechanics ! Now whenever I ride this ride, visions of Stepford Wives always enter my brain. Stepford children ....(shudders)

Let me start by saying that the last time I went to DLR was November 2005 for my Aunt's 50th Birthday.

Now, our WHOLE family (Mom and Dad, me, sister, Aunt, Uncle, 3 Cousins, Grandparents) are big Disneyland fanatics, so we went down for a weekend at DLR. A REAL Disney trip (usually the only times I go are as we are passing through, or there is another need for us to go [Volleyball in April]).

Well, we went on Indy (one of the first rides of the first day) and we were told to lift our arms so the CM's could check our seatbelts.

One of our number (my father or my aunt) thought it be a good idea to raise our arms and yell like we were already on the ride.

Well, the idea stuck. Space Mountain, California Screamin', Soarin' over California, basically any ride that had a seatbelt that we went on, we raised our arms and yelled. By the end of the day, the CM's absolutely loved us!

Well, I thought it funny. It could end up being one of those "You had to be there" type things, though...
