Funniest comments you've overheard in WDW

:rotfl: My special effects makeup teacher in college made that! I believe he's also responsible for Mooby from the same film. He modeled that statue after himself, it really does look like his face :rotfl:

How cool!!!! I've seen it in person at Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash in New Jersey. I have my picture with him and everything. I have my picture with Kevin Smith and Jay Mewes too, but that's not as exciting to me as Buddy Christ. :rotfl:

At Thanksgiving, we went around the table and each person said what they were thankful for. When it got to my two-year-old granddaughter, she said "I am thankful for my family, and for Cinderella."

Another one from her - when we were at the parks earlier this year, we had lunch at Akershus with the princesses. My granddaughter had just started eating her meal when Belle came to our table. Belle bent down to talk to her and my granddaughter said, in a very cool voice "Excuse me, but I'm eating now." Belle was a bit taken aback!

Just remembered another one - on a bus to AK from the TTC I overheard a guy talking with his family about how if you stay in one of the Disney resorts they comp your park tickets " 'cause you are spending $200 a night and they want you in the parks to buy the $7 hot dogs"

I wish :)

2. While riding the monorail a teenaged boy asked his dad, "Are there any monorails anywhere OTHER than Disney?" And both parents firmly responded with "Oh no. Just here at Disney". I didn't have the heart to tell them that the old Disney monorails are actually make runs around the Bally resort area in Las Vegas.

Too bad his parents didn't know that they're actually all over the world... I spent last Sunday freezing at Europa Park in the Black Forest. They had a monorail.

In fact, the oldest operating monorail system in the world is in Wuppertal, Germany. Several others exist here, as well as in England, Italy, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, China, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, UAE, Australia, and Canada, as well as various locations in the US.

To the best of my knowledge, the only continents without a monorail system are South America, and naturally, Antarctica.

I was with my 6 year old niece at EPCOT. We did the baby swap and she got to ride Mission Space a second time with me.

She told me to "stand on this spot because I was the alligator last time."

I said, "you mean the NAVIGATOR?"

She said, "no, I was the alligator."

I thought of another too. We were at the Holiday wishes during MVMCP. A woman was telling her family that the reason they call it wishes is because someone from Disney comes into the audience of people watching and picks a family to stay in the castle. So someone's wish comes true, that is why it is called wishes. :rotfl2:

This was from my aunt on my last trip. We were getting off of the teacups and the evil step-sisters were down by Enchanted Grove, my aunt says to me "Look princesses!" no, those are step-sisters. "Are you sure?" Positive! She also thought the Queen of Hearts was Snow White.

A few years ago, a friend of mine was a CM at one of the value resorts working at the front desk. He told me that one of the most frequent requests when people would check in is asking to be upgraded to an "ocean view." :rotfl2:

:rotfl: That reminds me of my aunt. She went to WDW with her husband for the first time a couple of years ago. They travel all over the world and are really picky. They stayed at POFQ and paid for a river view. When they got home, I asked her if she liked the hotel. She said "I paid all that extra money for an ocean view, and all they gave me was some stinky black stream!" :scared1:

That is so funny.......
My 4 yr old grandson calls "elevators" "alligators" !!:rotfl2:
We were shopping last week and he kept asking to go on the "alligator" and when I said "elevator" he kept say "YES, gramma, that's what I said 'alligator'" Then he would just shake his head like "what is wrong with you!":rotfl2:

DW and I were leaving the Verry Merry Party this year, and we had to stop so the parade could get by. My DW looked at me and said "We are in Disney hell. We have to stand in line to get out!!"

I STILL call Mama Melrose's "Mama Mia's." I'm sure it's a common mistake! Every time I say it I stop and think, "No, something's wrong here...." :rotfl: And I'm a southern girl; it's not as though "Mama Mia!" is an everyday expression for me. :rotfl2:

In defense of the Mama Mia's comment, there are actually two restauraunts near my house named Mamma Mia's. I too have been guilty of calling Mama Melrose's by the wrong name. Oops. :)

Didn't read thru all 190 pages :scared1:, so I am sure this may be in there somewhere...sorry if it's a repeat.

During my last trip at WDW I heard different people ask bus drivers which bus to take to get to Disneyland. :rotfl2: It was all I could do not to suggest Greyhound, but the drivers politely asked if they meant MK.

You have got to be kidding me! That is absolutely unbelievable! :sad2: You wonder whether these people use maps at all. :rotfl2:

(This isn't as bad as the lady who thought MK was completely covered by a dome, but it's close! :rotfl2:
