Alright - not IN WDW, but I wanna get this post rolling again - such funny stuff here!

I always offer my Disney planning skills to all those I know that are planning a trip... Anything to talk and think Disney, right?! When someone told me they were looking forward to staying at POFQ because it had a boat to MK, I knew they needed more help than I had to give! :rotfl: Oh dear - I did try to set them straight, to no avail... :sad2:

I was in Norway's Stave Church at Epcot, which for those of you who may never have ventured in, is a historical museum. The doors to the museum are kept closed so as to keep the exhibits at the proper temperature for preservation, but the building's door proclaims that it is a museum and visitors are welcome.

So I'm standing there, admiring Eric the Red, when the door opens quickly. A woman and her husband, looking tired after a long day of touring, stop short in the doorway and take in their surroundings. The more they absorb of the situation, the more their faces begin to differ. The husband looks bemused, while the wife looks, well, angry. I wasn't sure why, but then suddenly it all became clear.

With a loud smack, the wife hit the husband on the shoulder and exclaimed, "I told you 'Historical Stave Gallery' wasn't a euphemism for restroom, you idiot!"

My favorite, while waiting for the MK parade: "Sit down, shut up, and don't breathe." That became the family motto for years and we still say it now to get a laugh...The kids would NOT behave and the mother was frustrated and it just came out-wrong.

Another favorite-Walking out of MGM one night, it had rained and there were puddles everywhere. There were these two adorable little girls jumping in all the puzzles and singing that commercial jingle "I feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight!" Hilarious.

i'm embarrassed to say- u might have over heard this from MY family! LOL--

At the magical light parade, a mum to her son, "If you don't shut up now- Mickey's going to jump off that float and spank you!!!"

Just returned on the 12th and while at MK we were entering TTA and the lady behind us ask if this was the monrail ride:( My husband turned and told yes, it's the slow one.

All I kept thinking was "What a way to ruin the magic for the kid!!"

That's alright. They'll probably be excited when they get into MK for free, but disappointed when they find out there's no rides. Just shopping and eating.
Just tell them they have to try Wolfgang Puck for lunch at MK. :)

:lmao: Too funny! Knowing my luck they'd probably come back with, "There's no Wolfgang Punch at MK." :confused3

I heard one like this when I was at MK watching Cinderellabration. The kids in front of us were singing and their Mom screamed, rather loudly..

"you remember that mean octopus from the little mermaid? keep singing and ruining the show for everyone and you'll get your voices stolen too"

:rolleyes1

I bet these kids didn't want autographs after their parents corrupted their minds....mean parents!

Recently got back from a trip with my sister, Rhonda, and a couplke of friends. I like to talk to the cast members, especially in the World Showcase, where I'll use whatever words of their language I know. Every time on the trip that I said something to a cast member in their language (and you’d be amazed at the number of little words you know in other languages!), Rhonda would say konnichiwa.

I say to Rhonda, "Is that the only foreign phrase you know?"

And Rhonda (taker of 37 trips to Walt Disney World) replies, "Yes, it’s too bad there’s not a Japan in the World Showcase."

Uh, Rhonda???…

This thread is too good.

At RnRC in MGM, the preshow area features Aerosmith preparing for a concert. And I swear, this guy behind me, 60-something probably, said "Hey, it's Motley Crue!"

Now, I think he was joking, but then I went into conniptions.

Last week we were at the entrance to EPCOT where they check your bags. A little girl behind us asked the security guard if they were checking for mouse-traps. I thought that was pretty funny......obviously she was very concerned about the safety of Mickey Mouse.:lmao:

My brother was ordering a beer at the beer stand in front of the Rose & Crown. The girl asked for his ID. He hands her his DL and she looks at it, and proceeds to say.. (in her british accent) "Oh, you're a Taurus? "he says... " Isnt everyone a tourist around here?"

:rotfl2:

duhhhh!!!!!!!:rotfl:

That's so cute!

Ok this one made me & my friend & several others laugh.

Ok we just get done at Fantasmic & as we are headed out of the stadium, there are like 20-30 people wearing brightly colored Disney shirts & screaming loudly. We get away & head towards RNRC, when we get there we encounter these people who now are screaming things about Finance & what not. I look over as i'm about to enter the doors to G Force & yell out to them, "You tell 'em Steve Dave" in my best Fanboy from Mallrats voice. Clearly had several people & one of the CM's laughing at that one. One of them looks over & the rest immediately get quiet noticeably embarrassed. Shame, we never saw the Finance people again.
