Well everyone. I got a office xmas party coming up soon in like 45 min. so before I head out I just wanted to say have a great weekend everyone!! It was fun as usual, I will catch up tomorrow after the party I am going to .. wait for it…. Disneyland!! HAHA!! So I will be home super late! And umm if anyone smells a wedding soon, please let me know, maybe my sense of smell is not working.. who knows…

Does not matter if it is winter or summer, and disney will not send a laptop skin i saw on the disney store website.was going to have a jack sparrow one made for my daughters laptop for xmas. anyway, how goes the tree set up skiing fast?

Tree is up, lights are on and working, though one is loose and has to be wiggled a little. But I'm glad I know which on it is this year. Before putting it up I was thinking I would need to get new lights. So this was a relief. But I swear Martha Stewart makes the cheapest fake trees.

I know this is random, but why will Victoria's Secret not ship perfume to Alaska. Does not matter if it is winter or summer, and disney will not send a laptop skin i saw on the disney store website.was going to have a jack sparrow one made for my daughters laptop for xmas.

I wonder if VS won't ship by air, could they ship to HI?
Does Disney offer free shipping but not on certain items? Is it to a po box or mailbox? I run into that problem all the time since I have don't have a mail box.

Does VS or Disney have a higher shipping rate to AK?

Today not really just a bit but a few inches last night. I did plow and it got a little sun so after being driven on last night and in the morning I can see the pavement in a few small areas. Since you may understand I don't actually plow, I have a big lawn tractor with a blower on it. So it isn't heavy enough to scrape the car packed snow off. I'll see the whole driveway again around March 20th.

Snow is in the forecast for the next week anyway. So the tractor gets use more for blowing snow than it does for mowing grass in the summer.

umm no not me! i will be trimming my dogs feet... and using my new camera

oh yeah so i got a camera last night at the party!! its a kodak easy share something or other... anyhow i like my nikon. i wish i had it back..but in the meantime i have this one to abuse! and it came with a digital key chain!! awesome! i already loaded the photos on to it! and i am planning on going to disneyland today and using my new peice of machinery!!

Ok I am off to practice being nice, by taking turns. I mean making turns, since I'm going skiing for the the first time this year that it has been sunny!

well you know, we are pretty behind the rest of the u.s. with us still living in igloos and only having dogsleds to get around in.and all the whale blubber we eat is pretty unhealthy.

I'm not sure what you mean. I don't have anywhere nearby to ski on carpet, if you've heard of that.

no....i have never heard of carpet skiing, must be something the youngsters do these days. i'm just thinking that you must live somewhere that has a warm daytime high, yet stays cold enough for snow to stick around to ski. you know like Flagstaff, AZ. but i'm thinking not there. because you mention on your location you are several flying and driving miles from disneyland. do you only downhill ski, i enjoy cross country.

I never really got into Nordic. I've done a it a lot and have a pair of touring skis but it's not a regular thing for me.


I live in a cold place and when I say cold I mean colder than Nome. But if the asphalt can peek out the blackness will absorb the sunlight and warm enough to melt thin snow. But In the yard it will be there until sometime in April and the bigger lakes thaw in mid to late may. Some of the lakes up in the mountains thaw in June.

So while the roads may clear up between storms, I've skied in the summer on snow fields.

Oh and carpet skiing is done in only a few places. I've heard they do it alot in Scotland. It is not really carpet more like astroturf.

Seems like I saw it on a float too. Maybe the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. It was on a converyor so it comes up under the skis, while you ski down, keeping you in the same spot.
