Oh and carpet skiing is done in only a few places. I've heard they do it alot in Scotland. It is not really carpet more like astroturf.

Seems like I saw it on a float too. Maybe the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. It was on a converyor so it comes up under the skis, while you ski down, keeping you in the same spot.

yes, i have skied Alyeska, my daughter who is 12 is learning to snowboard. it really is a nice place to ski. we have a place closer to anchorage called hilltop ski area. We do sled as well.that is fun. i have seen you mention in past posts that eat you elk. are you a hunter? moose can be good, not the old ones so much.very tough. i guess i need to guess what state you live in.

how many times can all 100 of the santa clause movies with tim allen be played before i freak out!!!! they were cute for awhile, but enough already!!

No I don't hunt. But I know a lot of hunters. My brother helped a friend move out a fridge out of a garage. I think the friend was selling it. The friend was moving. It had about 40 pounds of elk in it and he gave it to my brother. So having nowhere to put it I got about 20 packages of elk.

Can you shoot bears there? Any limits or rules to it? I saw about 15 minutes of a gold mining show and bears showed up in the minin camp. So they drove around trying to find it and shot a bear. The same one as was in the camp? I doubt it. But it seemed very casual like shooting a varmit.

yes, we do have rules about shooting bear. ak. has 26 different game units where you can shoot bear. you can shoot more black bear than any of the others. you can shoot up to 3 a year, anytime. brown bear has a season in spring and fall and you can shoot one every 4 years, some units it is 1 every 2 years. no shooting sows with cubs. bear is not good eating, very tough. more for trophy than anything. had a black bear run out in front of me on the way back from fairbanks, i know my front bumper grazed his butt. reason i hate reality shows is they seem so planned. i'm sure the whole thing was a set up.

I don't disagree. I've seen a lot of commercials filmed near me. Tons of specialty sports movies. Sporting events. And some other filming for movies or documetaries. I also know a lot of people that have been in them. The 30 seconds of action you might see is edited from many takes and rarely filmed on the same day. It's tough when you know it's not the real thing.

he lives where it snows! we do not live in the same state... but have this amazing relationship! ..and i can't wait to see him in the spring!
