well matt has been driving all day!!!!! i feel so bad for him! he is going to get home late. everyone say a prayer so he gets home safe!

I absolutely hate the drive home...he lives a few hours further from DL than I do. I feel for him, I really do. It's so hard to leave DL (and in his case...you) as it is, but when you have a 10 hour drive (12 in his case), it gives you a lot of time to think about all the fun and memories you just had and you end up missing it more with each passing minute and want to turn around and go back.

Just made it a little before 4 am MST. Expected it. Left a little before noon PST. 15 hours. I shouldn't of stopped so long for dinner in Mesquite, NV. But I'm sure while on the road I averages 80mph once out of LA. And 70MPH once on the two lane highway.

I almost hit Thumper, Bambi and Flower all in a 100 yard stretch. I don't know what they were all doing on the road.

I did eat at the Five Guys in Sandy. On my way down for lunch and then at an In and Out in Barstow. I'll try to give a review in the burger discussion thread. Thank for the directions.

I finally got caught up on the Funball thread. No small task, it was growing fast while I was gone.


It was a long drive home. I spent a lot of time thinking about when I will get back to Sara and DLR. Sara and I talked a lot about what's to come so later on Sunday I told her I would get a Annual Pass. It sounds like she is fine with spending more time in DL with me!

There was a thread about burgers, I'm not sure which one, but it was on the main DL forum I believe.

I didn't stop in Vegas in fact just once in Nevada for gas, but stayed away from the slot machines. Actually I was too excited to get to LA to even notice if that station had slots.

I took a lot of pictures, about 400, not bad since I wan't really trying. Some of Sara, some of the parks, a lot while driving. A bunch for the "Where am I" thread. I'm not sure if I'll ever post any though, we'll just have to wait and see.

Met Sara in the hotel parking lot. The most romantic spot for a first hug.

I was anxious so I walked out of the lobby and saw her get out of her car and she was talking on the phone, I think to DISser Tdash. When I saw her all my nervousness melted away. We had almost 2 hours to eat out WoC picnic, maybe get in a ride, and get to the yellow section of WoC. But I think we hugged for 20 minutes so our schedule went out the window, real quick.

Ok so I can see your photos on your trip report Sara? since I was gone all weekend I feel so out of the loop.....lol

Matt I feel for your drive, from Thurs-Mon I feel like all I did was drive.....LOL I drove a total of at least 26 hours those days, 1 day was 12 hours, 1 day was 10, it was a lot. Glad you made it safely!!
