fun with European air charter this weekend

Saturday 31 Jan's flight with eal suffered a mechanical probelm 15 minutes out of gatwick, had to circle for 30 minutes dumping fuel before making an emergency landing. (well we had 4 fire engines escorting us back to the terminal)

spent saturday night in a hotel and finaly got to sanford at 16:00 on Sunday.

Ah so that's what happened! We were supposed to be catching this flight back. EAL has too many technical hitches for my liking so I won't be flying with them again, especially as I'm a nervous flyer! We were delayed on the way out due to a technical hitch, then the same coming back - it's not on! We got put up in a hotel for the night - nice hotel, shame about the vile food! Travel City handled the matter terribly - no representative came to the hotel after we were promised one, same the next day too. They sent some poor woman from another airline. Apparently technical hitches happened the week before too so all in all, not impressed with European Aviation! Still, we didn't let it spoil our holiday

the treatment thet we had was not verry good.left hanging around the airport from 14:30 untill 22:00 scened of total chaos in the baggage hall as our luggage disapeared for three hours.

the hotel they shipped us off to was the only place we saw any organisation.

We leave in two days time so fingers crossed things go smoothly.

Please can you let me know which films were showing as part of the entertainment?

Hi, on the way out we had Calendar Girls, Daddy Day Care and Tomb Raider 2. If you're in economy, you'll get them more or less one after the other but if you're in Sunshine First, you get to pick which one you watch each time a film starts. There is also a channel with Only Fools and Horses and My Family episodes. On the way back, we had The Italian Job remake and Charlie's Angels 2, and we were supposed to have Freaky Friday but we couldn't find it. Found Calendar Girls again which was brilliant so I watched it again I hope your flight goes a lot smoother than ours and have a great time.
