Could you please list all the fun things to see and do at the World Showcase in Epcot!

I've never spent two whole afternoons/evenings in Epcot before so I am very excited about it.

Oh, we will have our 2 year old DD with us as well.

TIA for all of your ideas!!!

Be sure to visit the Kidspots w/ your little one and get her passport signed (make sure to write what it says in english somewhere on the page). Check out the kids in Japan that do the gymnastics show WOW!!! Just take your time and expolre each country. The walkways throughout the countries aren't real crowded so your little one will be able to walk around and explore as well. And be sure to get out the shops in the different countries.

There's lots of entertainment all over WS. You can check out a listing here:

The acrobats in China, Candy Artist in Japan, and Juggler in Italy are some that are pretty good for young kids. There's also a boat ride in Mexico that is reminisant of Small World with bright colors, dancing children, and a catchy song. Plus, there's lots of characters in little nooks and corners all over the place... Pooh and friends at the United Kingdom, Belle and Sleeping Beauty in France, Snow White and Dopey in Germany, Mulan in China, Aladdin and friends in Morocco, etc.

Off Kilter - The celtic rock band in Canada. They are great!

The British Invasion - Beatles cover band in England. Everybody loves these boys. :)

For a 2 year old? There are alot of character sightings in each country. I like going back in Morocco and just running into Genie, Jasmine or Aladin. Also in the back of England is an area where we often run into Mary Poppins or Alice. I remember there being some sort of crafts tables set up in various countries as well.

I second the Off Kilter suggestion. Great place for a little one to run around and the guys love seeing kids. Check out their website at offkilter.net for some samples of their music. They are loud though, so stand or sit in the back.

Also, let your little one bang the drums to her hearts content at the African Outpost area.

The toy trains in Germany.

The World Showcase Players in France and United Kingdom. Check the entertainment schedule for their times. Great fifteen minutes of good family fun.

LOVE Off Kilter

Living Statues in France I think it is

Try a food from each Country

WS is also a GREAT place to meet characters.

Kidcot stations are fun for the littles

during the holiday season the Storytellers (santa's from around the world) are neat.

Don't miss Illuminations!!!!!

My DD loves to do the masks in each country. She did her first one when she was about 2-1/2. She only got a few stamps-we didn't know about it until late in the day. Last Sept. she(5 at the time) and I had the whole day to ourselves at Epcot (for the first time!). We started in Canada and went around the whole showcase. We ended in Mexico. She got every stamp-she was so happy! She's alrady talking about getting her mask again this year, but I'm thinking about doing the passport thing.

Last September we also saw many characters in WS. We saw Mickey and Goofy (3 musketeers) in France and the CM told us we could probably find a princess in the Library-we found two! Belle and Sleeping Beauty! princess: princess: And the best part, no one was there-we had them to ourselves. Next we waited in Morocco for Jasmine and Alladin. We found Mary Poppins in England where I had to bribe my DD away from the train table set up in the toy shop.

As for rides, not too many, but the boat ride in Mexico is good for young ones. I think Malestrom would be too scary. The parade is good and of course, Illuminations.

See you around the World. Have fun!

24 days and counting!

You can take the free guided tour of Morocco. There is a sign up book in the shop in the back. It's not very long, and never crowded, so you wouldn't have to worry about having your 2 year old along

Don't forget about Mo'rockin at the Morocco pavillion! Kids love to dance to them. I think they like the belly dancer that is part of the band.

The Viking Ship Playground in the Norway Pavillion is good for kids too.

The ride, Rio De Tiempo, and Marketplace in the Mexico Pavillion are Bright, Cheerful & very kid friendly.

There is TONS of "Hello Kitty" merchandise in the dept. store in Japan! You can decide for yourself though, whether or not to let her see that. ;) You might never get out of the store! :flower:

Do you think she's too little for autographs? There are nice autograph books available at almost every cash register.

I agree with the Off Kilter suggestion, especially if she likes to dance! :cool1:
They will also pose for pics with her and sign autographs.
Same goes for British Invasion and MoRockin.

There is a new mime-type entertainer in France called Bubble Nicholas, who makes his entrance in a giant clear bubble. Kids like him.

If she's really into princesses, you might want to do one of the princess: Princess Character Meals at the Akershus restaurant in Norway. Usually 5 of the princesses will attend.

Have Fun! :sunny:

one of our favorite things to do in epcot is to get the shaved ice by the japan pavillion and just walk around and see all of the great entertainment there is too see. you sometimes only have to go a few feet to see so much varied entertainment from the moroccan rock band, to the japenese drummers, too off-kilter to the street preformers whom i have seen in england and italy, too many to mention them all.

see a performance get a snack. this way you can eat your way around the world while you are being entertained. we start at japan and by the time we finish our world tour we have not only been enertained but are quite full

i think that with all of the preformances and colorful and great items available in the shops that your 2 year old should have quite a bit to keep her interested

Maelstrom in Norway is still a fun time. Also, while waiting in line for the ride, check out the huge wall mural; there are several hidden Mickey's in there.

The store in the Japan pavilion has all sorts of cool stuff, and the koi fish garden is nice and relaxing.

Also, it may sound weird, but in the China pavilion they sell Ginger ice cream and RED BEAN ice cream... and they are REALLY GOOD. It may not sound good, but trust me.

Try to catch the revolutionary-era marching flute & drum band in the U.S. pavilion...they are fascinating as well.

Is there an age limit on the Passports and Kidcot masks? My niece will be going with us this year. She is a young 13. Being the baby of her family, she really isn't as mature as most 13 year olds. I'm thinking she might enjoy the Passport (maybe not so much the mask) and it would make a nice souvenir.

If you love candy (as I do) be sure to go to Norway and buy a bag of Smor Bukk candy. The name is a little odd, but they're the best caramels I think I've ever had.

Also, the candy maker in Japan is pretty impressive. If you get near enough to the front, make sure to give her a suggestion for an animal when she asks. Often, when someone gives her a suggestion, she'll give the finished candy animal to that person.

I can't believe noone has mentioned the Voices of Liberty @ the American Pavilion. These are a group of singers that sing American Folk songs and are absolutely incredible! There is a show following that I enjoy but maybe be a little boring for younger kids.
