My husband is working in Cincinnati right now and I will be going up for a couple of days this weekend. What would be something fun to do in Ohio that you might not be able to do in TN? I'll be there all of Saturday and Sunday, leaving Monday morning.

Hi
Used to live and work in Cinci. Shopping is excellent. Not sure what area you will be in but Fields Ertel is nice. Just up the road in Mason is Kings Island. Great Roller Coasters and Waterparks. The Riverfront offers many activities. The cruises were always my favorite. Not sure the Cinci Star is still in business but if they are I highly recommend doing the dinner cruise. Jazz and dinner cruise runs a little over a hundred but well worth it.
If you are in the mood for a road trip Columbus is only 90 minutes away.
Easton,Polaris, and Tuttle have the best shopping and lots of dining options.
Theaters and Museums and COSI are also very popular. Lots of little festivals in the Fall.
Check online prior to leaving. Many concerts going on right now. Not to mention Hollywood Casino in Lawrence Indiana. It is 30 to 40 minutes from downtown Cinci.
No matter what you decide have a fun and safe trip.
(No country ham in Cinci but if you like Italian nothing beats lunch at Vincenzos. ) Best "WISHES":goodvibes

Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens...
Cincinnati Art Museum/ Taft Museum--both top notch..I just read about a new exhibit at the art museum that just opened--it's 2 centuries of wedding gowns (I love historical clothing exhibits)
Krohn Conservatory in Eden Park
Both the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals are in town next weekend, too.

All of these are close to the downtown area (the Taft is in downtown).

Enjoy your visit.:wizard:

go to the barrel house and order the mushrooms. then go to crowleys irish pub.

Some of the guys he works with have gone to King's Island. They were telling us there is something Halloween going on so he mentioned trying to check it out. He said to bring cold weather clothes though so we'll see, I'm cold natured anyway LOL A roller coaster in the cold doesn't sound like much fun...hot chocolate and funnel cake, however, does! ;)

We are actually driving to Dayton one day. I was born there, moved when I was two. I've never seen the house we lived in so I'd like to go find it. Maybe we can do that in the morning and go to Columbus later in the day. I'm all about some good shopping!

Oh...my.....goodness! I wonder if I can convince him to go? I would LOVE to see that exhibit!

Mushrooms.....yuuuummm!

:flower3: Thank you, I know we will have fun. He hasn't been there long and none of his co-workers are from the area so no one has explored yet.
