My Dh and I are going to have about 4-5 hours on the last day of our trip in December free and I have decided I want to take him back to the boardwalk where we got married last summer and spend some time there just hanging out. (we are going to be staying at an outside condo during our trip, so I know we can't use the boardwalk pool).

what is there for us to do besides walk around and eat and shop? We can rent a bike and ride around the boardwalk and beach and yacht club right? are there paddle boats we can rent or anything like that? We will likely be there between the hours of 9 and 1 or so. I was even thinking of asking if we could see one of the DVC rooms if one is available.. just for fun.

any other things for us to see or do while we are there?

thanks!

You can watch the street performers, and play the arcade games. You can also spend some time in Jellyrolls (dueling piano bar)! At 9:00-9:30 you can pick a spot to stand on the bridge and watch the fireworks from Illuminations. :goodvibes

If you're talking 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., especially on a weekday/non-holiday, I don't think they have the entertainers and arcade games until later in the day. You could do a whole DVC presentation, but that's a sales pitch and lasts a couple of hours.

We never go to the parks on our first or last day, we usually eat at one of the monorail resort's counter service restaurants and then ride the monorail to CR, Poly and GF to explore.

ESPN club or Big Grille Brewing Works for lunch, Beaches and Cream for excellent ice cream (across the lake at Yacht/Beach club)l!!! Nothing else is up and running that early.......bikes and such, I dont recall paddle boats there....you can walk to the swan and dolphin and explore too!! Enjoy your day!!! We like to visit there in the evenings!!

There really are not to many preformers betweem 9am- 1pm (I am assuming you are going during the day?) but you can rent surrey bikes. Also the swan has some cute paddle boats in the shape of a swan you can walk over and rent. Also right near Big River there is an open door model that any one can go see. Inside the BW there is the bellview lounge which may or may not be open usually from 7am-1oam but they have alot of board games around for anyone to play.

Happy Anniversary! I got married last year there as well. My reception was at the BW convention center! We just got back and had a wonderful trip as I am sure you will.

Honestly, if you're interested in seeing DVC, I would see if they do onsite presentations there. It was well worth the time for DH and I last time we were in WDW. We enjoyed seeing the models, plus we got $15 gift cards for each person including the kids and free ice cream (this was at SSR). It definitely made us consider DVC even though we didn't purchase. A great way to spend a few hours in my opinion.

yeah, I meant 9am-1pm! sorry! the swan paddle boats sound nice though and the board games also. Maybe if we just hang out at the boardwalk/beach club area my husband will see how wonderful that area is and decide to buy into DVC right then and there! LOL.... well, a girl can dream can't she? ;)
