Hey all.... we are traveling for the first time with kids :scared1::scared1: LOL just teasing.. they are great kids :thumbsup2

We just bought into DVC and for our first trip we are bringing my bro and his family along for a big family vacation just shy of a grand gathering hehe...

so where's what I'd love your input on -- it's their first trip and the kids are ages 7girl, 12girl, 13boy -- Are there any "Must See/Do" for kids that age? Honestly I am thinking more of the 7 year old... Hubby and I want to ensure the whole family enjoys the trip and not make the little one feel as though she's always doing what the older ones want to do.

And before you ask -- she isn't a real princess girly girl so BBB isn't an option LOL

I am planning 1 character brekkie -- assuming I can get a table at Chef Mickey's :wizard::wizard:

Thanks in advance for your suggestions/hints... I am getting a bit overwhelmed planning as I want to make certain everybody enjoys themselves :)

How fun! Here are some ideas:

* sets of quarters and pennies for the penny press...51 cents to press a penny w/a neat character or Disney symbol

* collecting autographs

* filling out a passport at each country in Epcot. My 7 yo also enjoyed coloring the masks at the kidcot funstops and collecting the charm from every country.

* have hair wrapped or face painted

* have a ready supply of glow sticks and disposable cameras

If you want to pay for an excursion there is:

* Tea w/Alice in Wonderland and Mad Hatter at GF

* Pirate cruise

* pirate make-over...for boys and girls

Buy, or borrow from the library the WDW touring book for kids and have each child pick out a must see / must do activity. That way if they know that they will be doing something that they want to do they are more likely to be patient with another activity that someone else chose - or if there are enough days, assign each day (1/2 day) to one child and have them pick out the itinerary this works well with my 3 kids. They fight less knowing that they expect their sisters to do what they want when it's their turn!
Have fun!!:yay:

Thanks guys....

that 1/2 day thing is a great idea! As is ensuring we have quarters and pennies. We hardly ever use cash and aren't from the US so we don't have a lot of US change. Will have to ensure to get some :thumbsup2

I gave my bro my Unofficial Guide to WDW but the idea of getting the WDW for Kids book from the library is a good idea too! Things hubby and I just don't think of ;)
