Okay, long story here - DH and I wanted to go to Universal, so we booked a hotel near the airport (needed a shuttle to get to hotel as we couldn't get our rental car until the next morning) at the Wingate by Wyndham. It looks fine and has great reviews.
Well, a couple weeks ago, we decided no to do Universal and to go back to WDW instead!
So now we're a drive from the parks, but it's okay, it's just us!
Last night, DH mentioned that we should take a loss for Wingate (only $240 for six nights on Hotwire!) and book something closer. Well, I did something stupid and bid on a room close to WDW on Priceline. And ended up with Fun Spots. There are nothing but TERRIBLE reviews. And it's fine, since we still have the Wingate - and for TWO hotels for the whole week, it's only costing $500 (guess I know where the tax refund's going...)
I was just wondering if ANYONE had EVER heard anything positive about Fun Spots - we're actually probably going to end up taking that hotel as a loss - but maybe it'd be good for a nap in the afternoon??
Oh well - I learned my lesson about bidding for rooms!
