Fun Restaurant in Chicago

I need to know if there are any fun, good restaurants in chicago. There are some of us going next weekend we have daughters that are 10 years old. We are going to American Girl but not to eat. We want to Rainforest Cafe again. Any other suggestions. Several of the moms are catholic and follow the no meat on friday. I need this trip as I just recently went thru a nasty divorce ( that is why I haven't been around) Thanks to all for your help

Our granddaughters really loved tea at the American Girl cafe, but you said that you weren't eating there, so....

Another thing they liked a lot was lunch at Hard Rock Cafe. They also liked the Weber Grill restaurant, where all the cooking is done on big Weber grills. We haven't taken them to Ed Debevic's yet, but I think that would be a lot of fun, too. Its theme is a 50's diner, with wisecracking waiters and lots of crazy antics.

All of these are in the same general area.

Ed Debevic's, or across the street, Gino's, are two great, fun places in that area, River North. Lots of choices there. Maybe Hard Rock Cafe??

I second or third the suggestion for Ed Debevic's. My DD loved it up in Milwaukee - that was until they closed it several years ago.

There is an internet special going until the end of the month - so be sure to check this out.internet coupon link for Ed Debevic's

Isn't there a Cheescake Factory right there.....it's been a while since I was back there, but wasn't there one at the lower level of the John Hancock building (or did I just dream it????)??? Help me Chicagoans.

Personally, I'd pick Gino's for PIZZA!!!!

I'm glad to hear people still recommending Ed's. I went there a few times when I was younger, probably 20 years ago (was it that long ago ). I would love to take my boys the next time we're in town.

Hey thanks to alll- I forgot about Ed's we did do a friday lunch there last year and that was fun. Just wanted to see if there was something different that we shouldn't miss or stick with our standby's. Anymore would be appriciated.
