Fun resort speculation

VOIS (Villas Out In Space).

Buses will take you from BCV to Cape Canaveral, where you will be launched into Space. Of course some DVCers will still complain that they didn't get a room with a good enough view... :sunny:

They have different point structures:

Earth View - Preferred
Moon view- Preferred
Shuttle docking port - Standard View

I can't decide if I would rather have the Earth view or the Moon view. :rotfl2:

You can't have a "next DVC?" speculation thread without at least one:
"Hey, what about the Treehouses?"

There, I did it. :rolleyes1

Here are the rumors that I've heard from CM's at DVC.
Offsite: Hawaii
Onsite at DL: They would take over one of the buildings at DLH and convert it.

I would be happy with either!

But as far as the "FUN" speculation ... Disneyland Paris - Sacre Bleu!

I would love to DVC resorts at not only DLRP, but at TDL and HKDL also. What better way to see the Disney "world" than being able to stay at a DVC resort.

Central Indiana.....

Hey, at least it'd be close to home... :thumbsup2

Of course, they would have to build a theme park to go with it. :teeth:
Halfway between Batesville and Greewood would do just fine. :rotfl:

Don't forget the dreaded garbage hatch view!

Referencing greenban's post in the "Newest MS Changes!" thread on the Operations Board:
"All three said that the next DVC has infact been announced to them.
"Everyone is gonna be suprised!" was the direct quoted response each gave when pressed.
And no, they would not even give me a hint.
FWIW, I believe that the next DVC has been announced internally!"

I found a message on some other board naming the location of the next DVC. The poster stated it was new info from a friend who works for DVC, and already has a positon at the new resort. :rolleyes1

Oh yeah, it was AKL.

OK, back to our regularly scheduled speculations. popcorn::

Although since I did buy my DVC at DLR, I will cast a vote for DLR. We will probably be spliting our time between DLR and WDW and it would be great to have a DVC there. Now I just gotta get more points so I can stay longer! :rotfl:

I'm going to say that there will be two resorts going up at the same time. One at WDW and the other at DLR.

The one at WDW will be on the site of the STOL site. It will be attached to the EPCOT monorail and will provide monorail service to EPCOT and the TTC. The resort will be themed after the Mediterranean. (Disney's Mediterranean Resort - A DVC Resort).

The reason I've picked this site and resort is because Disney had plans to actually build this resort back in the early 90s at the Southeast corner of the Seven Seas Lagoon. As a previous poster said Disney has a habit of pulling old ideas off the shelf when the time is right.

Happy Speculating!

What's STOL?

TIA,

Grand Californian Villas!!!

DVC in DL and WDW (since I live in Texas)....that would be the life!!!

If (and that's big if) the next DVC is at Disneyland, I think a New Orleans Square theme would do well (similar to POR and POFQ). And they could build it in the infamous strawberry field that Disney owns out there.

A DVC at the Grand Cali would be nice, but where could they put it? I heard a rumor about converting one of the wings, but (IMHO) that wouldn't create enough rooms.

Short Take Off and Landing strip. The small runway built to accomodate Walt's plane. Used today as a bus driver training area and occassionally as a staging area for large group special events. You can see it to the right as you travel by bus to the MK, you can also glimpse it from the road to Fort Wilderness.

I got the answer!

On my 92 call to MS yesterday (okay, I rwally only made 87 calls!), my DVC-Advisor slipped and I know the next resort!

It will suprise 98% of us and excite 2% of us!

I'm in so much trouble right now, don't know if I should post the answer.

Let me think on this a while!

Hey Beca! :thumbsup2

A STOL is a three or four legged short seat or stepping platform.

Or, it can be a sample that a certain type of Doctor hunts for!

There is a thread on the Resort board about a new rumor. The thread was moved somewhere (I suppose rumor board ;) ) but in it the poster said he had heard the top two floors of the AKL were going to be DVC. :confused3

C'mon Tony.....do tell. :teeth:
