Sorry guys, I have been trying to search this forum for the answer but cannot seem to find it. What exactly are Fun in the Sun tickets? I am sorting through trying to figure out what tickets to buy for my family (June trip).

Thanks!
Dawn

Just purchased mine today. THey provide for 30 days of consecutive use at all four major parks, water parks, disney quest, pleasure island and world of sports. They also include admission to some other area minor attractions (Kennedy Space Center is the best, can't remember the others) This ticket also includes a breakfast voucher. The tickets do expire 30 days after first use (you can't carry over unused days.) Cost is $311/adult & $251(?) child.

Here's a link to PI, they do sell the FITS but the ones they have expire May 3, 2004. That means they have to be activated by that date but even if activated may 31, 2004 they are still good for 30 days. Ticketmania no longer sells them and it seems to be up in the air if PI is going to sell them after the May ones expire.

Edited to add I found a thread where someone just bought the new FITS tickets from PI. Here is the link http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=557615

Actually, Paramount is now selling the ones that expire in 2005. They just found out today and I ordered mine. The new ones expire in April 2005, according to Rosa at Paramount.

Do you know if PIT is offering a freebie of any kind (breakfast voucher, DQ one day tix) with the purchase of the new FITS ticket? Thanks

Unlimited Disney Quest is part of the FITS passes, as well as the two water parks and downtown Disney. My tickets came with a voucher for a free character breakfast as well, which was a choice of 4-6 diff. breakfasts (not Princess ones) including Chef Mickey's Ohana's, etc.
The best thing about these passes is that you have unlimited access to DQ and the water parks (as well as the 4 Disney parks, which most passes have anyway) for the 30 day period after activation. This way you could actually head to the water parks every afternoon during the hottest part of the day, and not worry about using up the Plus options that most passes have a limited # of.
We're going to Disney for 9 full days, so these passes made the most sense for us. They cost less than the 7hopper+4 plusses passes we could have purchased through the military, and give more options (7-day hoppers don't include DQ as a choice in the plus features at all, which is $33 at the gate).

We used these on our Dec/Jan trip. they were the best. Being able to come and go as you please without any worries. The breakfast vouchers saved us $100 in Chief Mickeys. When the park closed we just headed over to DTD and did DQ or else PI. What fun. The only thing I didn't like was were had to leave before the passes expired. BooHoo. Maybe someday we can stay 30 days.

The great thing about these tickets is that they do include everything. I know several people that think an AP is a better deal, but for us, this is the best ticket to allow us to do everything that we want. We won't be going back until 2006 probably, and if we want to do water parks and DQ, we would have to pay extra for those. I think this ticket is an extremely good value, especially when you throw in the breakfast vouchers, which easily save you about $80 on a family of 4. I can't wait to get the vouchers in the mail now so I can read all about them. I can't remember all of the extra admissions you get. The only other one we may use is Kennedy Space Center.
