Hello Disney lovers!

My family and I are going to WDW soon. We have ordered Fun in the Sun tickets from Ticketmania. My TA says "buyer beware". Has anyone ever had any problems with Disney accepting fun in the sun tickets, or any problem with Ticketmania in general?
Thanks in advance for any help. I have visions of us having spent hundreds of dollars on our tickets, then getting there and Disney saying "Sorry, we won't accept them".

I was wondering the same thing as crystalrp! Anybody know about these passes?? Had any trouble useing them??

I use Ticket Mania every time. We've purchased our Disney and Universal multi-day tickets from them and never had any problems!

I have never heard of "Fun in the Sun tickets" so I can't help you there. I know that some of the park bundled tickets that you can buy don't include "Disney parks" but again not sure if that is the one you are referring to.

Have fun, and good luck!

I've also bought tickets from Ticketmania and have never had a problem but I have never heard of the "Fun in the Sun" tickets either. Anyone else that HAS used these tickets??

Each of the four members of my brothers family were able to use theirs on our Christmas trip. Theirs were purchased from Paramount International as Ticketmania wasn't selling them at that time. Two of the tickets demagnetizedand needed to be replaced at guest relations, but that had nothing to do with them being accepted at valid ticket media. The tickets are a great option for longer stays, as you can visit water parks, DQ, PI and the four major parks at much as you like for 30 days. The tickets also include admission to some museums, and Kennedy.

You'll be fine. I frequently order PI and DQ tickets from ticketmania to supplement our APs. (We just don't go often enough to make the PAP purchase break even)

fun in the sun tickets are very popular with UK guests as we tend to stay in Florida for 2-3weeks. It gives unlimited entry to all Disney parks, disney quest, Kennedy Space centre, a character breakfast and some other atttractions near Miami. We bought from paramount travel last yr and used them with no problem at all.

This year we are buying from Ticketmania as they come in slightly cheaper with free shipping to UK($300). From this and other boards, Ticketmania seems to have a good reputation.

The only thing to note about these tickets is they are only available for certain seasons, the current ones up for sale cant be used after May31. I do belive there will be another offer around Oct.

Hope this helps.

It helps greatly!! I feel much better now. Thanks a bunch! For $300 we have unlimited use of everything the UPH offers. Plus we can get into Kennedy Space Center..alot of other Orlando attractions...and a free WDW character breakfast. Since we are staying for 11 nights, this seemed like the best way to go.
Thanks again!! PHEW!!! What a relief! :earsboy:

We've used Fun in the sun tickets for the last two years running. You get a voucher which you exchange for the usual Disney ticket on your first trip to a park (looks just like a usual park hopper).
We can't buy them for this year yet, as Galaxy said, the current ones available expire at the end of May. I do believe however, that new vouchers are due to be issued, which should be valid from 31 May 2004 to 31 May 2005. This is what has happened in past years anyway. We'll wait and see.

I used these for my trip in December 2002. I believe that they are intended for international visitors but it is not banned for United States residents. Ticketmania does sometimes offer them. I was nervous when I traded the vouchers in because they look like they are geared towards international visitors with so many languages written on them. I made sure to keep Ticketmania's phone number handy in case I had a problem. No problem at all!

We used these vouchers in Dec/Jan. They were the best. I purchased them from paramount and when they came I read them over and no where does it state you can't be from the USA. While we were in WDW we used them to enter Disney Quest at least three times, PI the same, And all the parks. We even saved $100. using the breakfast voucher that came with them at chef mickeys. Did I say they were the best? The worst thing about them was that we had to go home when we still had days left on the passes. It is wonderful to come and go as you please and not have to worry about using up a day on your pass. Did I say this pass was the best? I hope it's still around the next time I go. Gina

This is the main reason I got the FITS pass for our next trip.

Our first trip was for 8 days. We had the 5 day hopper plus pass with 4 plus options. I had planned to do a major park 5 days and water parks, PI the other days. This sounded great when I was planning it. However, I found out that we really wanted to to go to the parks everyday. After spending a day in the water park or at the resort pool, it would have been nice to just go to one of the parks for a parade or fireworks. We couldn't do this with the hopper pass because I didn't want to "waste" a day. Disney Quest was out of the question that trip.

This time we'll be free to spend as much or as little time as we want in each park. We will visit Disney Quest several times. My son wants to go there everyday.

I'd love to get a PAP but this will have to do.

We just used the FITS pass last month, we purchased them from Ticketmania and we had absolutely no problem using it anywhere, we even went to KSC and my family did not have a problem using it at all.
It was total freedom to all the parks, we loved everything about them and we will continue to use FITS as long as we go.
And we will continue to use Ticketmania without a doubt.

Can someone post the link for these tickets? I went to Ticketmania and didn't see them??

Just an FYI for those planning on using the FITS pass for the first time. We bought them from Paramount and used them in Dec. and seem to be the only family that had a bit of a problem redeeming the vouchers at Guest Relations outside of Epcot (it would figure! )

I would recommend having your receipt for these tickets...fortunately I had ours with me and it seemed to help our situation. Also, be sure to get the portion of the vouchers back that you need for Kennedy Space Center, etc. (if you plan to go to those other venues listed besides WDW) because the CM helping us did NOT give us back that portion. We didn't care because we'd decided not to go.

Otherwise, the passes were great, as others have said!

What type of problem did you have? I just want to know what to expect when you turn in our vouchers.

When we turned inour vouchers the woman in the booth at epcot also had never seen these but she made a phone call and got a code to punch in. She never gave us back our vouchers either and said we could just use the passes for entry into the space center. I also wasn't overly concerned because we did this on our last trip and wasn't planning on going. If you are interested in the space center I would post a question on these boards to someone that has went and used these vouchers to see what you need to bring. Maybe if you question the ticket broker you use they should know what you need to have. Good luck and enjoy all Disney has to offer. Gina

Oh, I really hope they offer these past May. We are going in June/July and would really like to take advantage of these tickets. We will be there for 14 days and want to try a little bit of everything.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Pam

Disneyjunkie,

Our experience was similar to funhouse8's. The CM said she'd seen the passes before, but only for international guests. I don't remember exactly, but the info on the ticket is printed in English, Dutch, German, French...and maybe something else?? Anyway, she thought maybe there was a mix-up and we were sold the passes in error because we are from Holland, MI! We explained that Paramount mailed the passes to Michigan so they obviously knew we live in the U.S. . I also presented our receipt for the tickets. She finally called a supervisor or manager who helped her over the phone. The whole transaction took about 35 minutes or so...and my DH was extremely nervous at one point, figuring that we'd just lost $1200!!

I think the thing that bothered us the most about our experience was the way all 3 CMs in the "booth" treated us. Their general attitude and reluctance to issue the passes made us feel like they thought we were trying to do something wrong, or trying to get away with something. We stood there for a good 20 minutes before she finally called a supervisor for advice.

Thanks for the info, we plan to use one on our trip (if the come out with one for after May 31st 2004).
For anyone looking for these they are not listed on Ticketmania's website. You have to call or email them and ask about the Fun in the Sun pass.
