Happy Monday...well, my hubby and I are going down to DW with our good friends who have never been. So, four adults all in their 40's...their kids are grown so it will be four big kids. We all are so very excited for them.:yay: This will be our 4th time so we know the ropes perse. I need some neat ideas to make it more special for them.

Okay...will ask for the first timers button at resort and of course I will have to talk to Mickey and see if he or one of his friends can give them a wake up call. TEE HEE :thumbsup2

Scott and I were thinking about buying a nice picture frame and surprise them with it so they can choose a favorite picture to remember their first trip. What are some ideas if any, I know, these are adults not kids, to get them more excited than what they are that I can use at the airport, on the plane, etc. Probably get together the weekend before we fly out (leaving on a Monday) and just go over details.

Any thoughts would be so welcomed. Thanks everyone....getting closer! Gosh, I am so excited! :dance3::thumbsup2:cheer2:

You could order the photo CD
Give them pins to trade
Give them a hidden mickey book
Give them an autograph book/pen (never to old)

Hope you all have a wonderful time!pixiedust:

I agree with the above....do you have a current Disney planning DVD? How about ordering then personalized maps?

Staying on site or not?

Our last trip we did things for my in-laws and kids to make the trip even more special, some of them may not work for you but here we go. First thing I did was made matching Disney t-shirts for everyday. I also made all the plans, the daily itenararies, the dining reservations, etc. so for every night we were there I made a gift bag for them (cheap ones from dollar tree decorated with Disney stickers also from dollar tree) each gift bag contained a shirt, the next day's schedule and an invitation to dinner. If you go to the creative designs thread here on disboards you can request them. If you aren't familiar with that, it is a wonderful group of people who for no charge will custom make, t- shirt designs, invites and much more. One of the much mores that I did was to make character candy nuggets for each night to put on their pillows. It was not only fun doing this for them but fun looking at all the things available and fun making them all. Good luck and feel free to ask if you have any questions, I know that was a lot of info.

hmm well if there in to scuba diving you can have them go scuba diving in the tanks at epcot.

Okay, great! Then you should try a late night EMH at MK. The atmosphere is so magical!

Ejay-have each day already planned with dinner ressies as well. The first day we get in is dinner at Wilderness Canyon Cafe and then on to MK for the rest of the day. EMH till midnight-perfect way to start of the vacation. :dance3:

When we travel with other couples, we enjoy having a meal with just the two of us. Maybe make a reservation for them someplace that's relaxing. Keeping their budget in mind, of course. Afterward, perhaps you can meet them for drinks or a stroll and take in the evening atmosphere.
