Fun Games to Play While Drinking

First, I'm not looking for games that require you to take a shot, etc., if you lose. I'm looking for games that are fun to play, while you sit around drinking beer, wine, etc. Specifically, a game you can play while halfheartedly watching your favorite, football team lose on tv. :rotfl: Fun, fast moving games that are mostly mental, like Heads Up are perfect. Any suggestions?

Apples to Apples. Or, in the right company, Cards Against Humanity.
Thanks we have Apples to Apples somewhere. We haven't played it in so many years that I'd forgotten about it. I'll have to try to drag it out. I haven't played Cards Against Humanity, but I'll look it up.

Cards Aganist Humanity can be funny, but it also can be very vulgar, crude, and offensive. It's not for everyone, especially if there will be kids around.

Anomia!! You will be in absolute hysterics over it! It energizes as you play, too. It's impossible not to get hyped up while playing.

If you don't actually want a commercial game pick a word & whenever it is said - DRINK!! So if they say FLAG - drink!!! We used to play Bob, while watching the Newhart show, 80's.
Pretty wasted by 15 minute sin.

Never have I ever and Cards Against Humanity. They were playing it last night but I had to leave early because I work today.

We played one called "Quelf" yesterday. It was great fun! It was the first time I played, but from the impression I got:
- While there were some cards that required you to say something funny when you took a sip of your drink, it wasn't a "drinking game".
- There wasn't a worry about kids in the room.
- You could opt out of anything you really didn't want to do just by moving back a few spaces.

Another good one!

Thanks a bunch for the suggestions.

Considering so many of you recommended CAH, I'm ordering it. I'm not sure how I'll feel about playing that with our adult DS, since I don't even allow cursing in the house. I'm open minded, so we'll at least give it a try. I figure DS can always play it with his friends, if it's too much for me.

I'm sure we had Apples to Apples. I need to have DH dig it out.

I'm definitely getting Taboo, because it's cheap.:p That will make a great stocking stuffer.

I noticed the other games recommended have different versions. If you recommended one of those, would you mind sharing which version we should buy?

Thanks again to all who offered a suggestion.

Cards Against Humanity! But it is definitely not for everyone. As long as the group you are playing with has an open mind, and can be dirty, racist, sexist and have a very vulgar sense of humor, you'll be fine. I wouldn't necessarily recommend playing with your parents/kids, unless you want to learn things you never wanted to know. :rotfl2:

Now, you're scaring me. It sounds like it may be too rowdy for our situation. I have to keep reminding our DS that some things he says are TMI to tell his Mom (me) as it is. :o I think I'll go with something similar that's a little more tame. Thanks for the warning.

Google "cards agaist humanity examples" and you'll see what we mean. Hilarious, but so wrong .

I was thinking Hungry Hungry Hippos. Seriously though, I was thinking Scattergories... maybe it is just because I like that game and drinking might add to the fun.

For the first time in my life yesterday I heard the term "cards against humanity", now I read it here. I need to check that out.
