My mom just called to say, "In the next year or two, we should take all the boys to WDW. Where should we stay?" Assuming I can go and be one of the 4 adults 4 kids (4, 5, 7, 8) I am wondering, where should we stay? 4 adults would be my mom, aunt, SIL and hopefully myself. The kids are grandchildren of my mom and aunt, none mine. I thought of a place w/ a kitchen. Perhaps two rooms at a vacation club resort - I'm not a member. Perhaps a suite. Money/budget is a concern to a point, but we are splitting costs and will go for about 6 nights at most. What time of year is not a factor yet - I just want to know your thoughts of where to stay. SIL and nephew (6) just returned from WDW and he was too short for some things and she vowed today never again to stay off property.

Planning is a hobby. Thanks y'all.

You could rent points from a dvc member, stay at the Fort Wilderness cabins or get two adjoining rooms at one of the resorts. A moderate wouldn't cost that much and if you really wanted to save money, you could go to a value. The dvc or cabin would give you more room & more flexibility.

I was thinking about WL first, if there is an option that is good for 8 people. I also sugested the cabins at FW as an alternitive until I heard there are 4 adults. I don't think we can get around 2 rooms. Think about beds - I like WL bunks. Keep sugesting. This is fun! :earsboy:

Since you mentioned kitchen I would rent points from a DVC'er. You can find lots of info on the DIS about renting points. I'd probably say VWL because of the location.
