We're heading down next weekend for a week long offsite stay with a group of 10 family members. We've got a couple of days planned at Universal, so we'll need at least a couple of dinner options in Orlando. We'll probably go to Miller's Ale House one night, but I'd love to find a similar place with a fun atmosphere. Any suggestions?

While I can't say it has much atmosphere, the more people we have in our group the more likely we are to dine at Golden Corral. Buffet is just so awesome when you have so many people's tastes to deal with.

Not a "restaurant", per se, but an awesome meal option for an extended family is the Outta Control Dinner Show. The meal is universally appealing (popcorn, salad, pizza, soda, alcoholic beverages ... all unlimited... and cake for dessert) and the entertainment is fantastic. Tony Brent is part comedian, part magician, and soooo funny! The show is family friendly, features a ton of audience participation, and is a super value at less than $25 pp.

Its located on I-Drive, inside Wonderworks, so pretty convenient to Universal. Parking is super easy at the Point Orlando complex next door (and cheap too....I think it was $3 for the whole night).

I think it would be fine for him. Its a very "active" show....there's singing and dancing and magic and humour, and it bounces from one to the other to the other to the other. Tony Brent, the performer, lights stuff on fire, pulls people from the audience to do wacky things, has the audience sing and clap along to certain parts, and really keeps a very "bouncy" type tempo to the evening. I think its just the pace for a 4 year old boy, lol!

There's zero swearing, and while there were a couple of "adultish" humour moments, they were so subtle I guarantee that the kids in the room didn't get it AT ALL.

There was a toddler there....maybe 2 years old or so?....during our visit in 2012, and he danced and clapped and was having a ball the whole night.
