I asked my friend a question last week that "If you could run around the world (Assuming that the world is at one level i.e. no oceans or mountains) what speed would you need to go at to go around the world in exactly one day?"

What he said that it is simply Circumference of the earth (Again, assuming that the circumference of the earth = that of the equater) / Time of one day

So it's 40,076km / 24 if you want it in Km per hour which equals 1669.83 to 3 decimal places

To convert to m per s you times it by 0.277778 which equals 463.85 m/s to 2 decimal places

Considering the speed of sound is 340.29 m/s that is pretty fast!

Totally lost but it seems impressive.

About the same speed as I managed to get arounds Asda'a today - NOT :rotfl:

Sue :wave2:

The circumference of the earth is approx 24,000 miles, so, to do it in one day (24 hours!) you would need to run at 1,000 mph. ( :teeth: This is the simplified version!)
