Hello,

I would like recommendation on Character dining meal at WDW for 6 year old boy. He wants to see Mickey. We've done surfs up and storyteller recently at DL and he really enjoyed the dancing, parade around the restaurant they would do every 30 minutes. Do any of the WDW character meals have those during the meal? We did chef mickey and tusker house last year and I don't remember them doing that. We don't really care about the food, just the experience. Does the meal with Mickey at Hollywood and Vine have anything fun going on?

At Ohana the kids (of all ages, because sometimes the parents need to get up and move around, too!) get to parade around with maracas/ Congo line. The characters are Mickey, Lilo, and Stitch and then you meet Pluto for a photo op.

They don't do a parade, but my kids always have fun at Garden Grill in Epcot. It's Chip, Dale, Pluto and Farmer Mickey. We've been a few times and always have great character interaction. Chip, Dale, and Pluto always fool around with my kids. The restaurant rotates slowly which my kids also enjoy.

I don’t think Mickey is at HOllywood and vine... but it is interactive!

Ohana might be a fun choice and as PP said Garden grill isn’t super interactive but when the characters stop by or walk by they definitely get involved with the kids

I second the recommendation for Garden Grill. There’s no parade but the character interaction makes up for it. Every time we’ve been we’ve seen each character at least twice and they always give so much attention to my kids. Plus I love that it is all served family style so no trips to the buffet. And the food for both breakfast and dinner is great!

My son gets excited every time we go and wonders what silly thing Chip and Dale are going to do this time. He loves it so much that last year for his 11th birthday he requested it and we chose that as the restaurant to have his cake delivered to. In addition, the food and servers have always been great.

Garden Grill character interaction is great....in April, farmer Mickey was so proud to tell us that he grew the fruit we were eating :-)

Garden Grill was our favorite character meal, and we are all adults! I think the characters are so much fount here, and kids will a wonderful time.

The characters are only there for breakfast.

I’m not a big fan of the food, but I agree that the character interactions at the Garden Grill are some of the best. Pluto is a riot.

Chef Mickey's has all the main characters...and you have the monorail running through the resort, and the last time we were there - they did the thing were you swing your napkin around, kids, and grown ups alike were doing it...

Tusker House, main character dressed up safari style - has the parade,

Crystal Palace - Pooh and friends - has a parade

Garden Grill - Farmer Mickey - no parade the restaurant slowly turns

Hollywood and Vine - I think its still Disney Jr character for breakfast and the other character at lunch and dinner.... we have only done breakfast...

Another thought while not characters meal per say, T-REX and Rainforest are both good choice's lots to see in each spot...

My top choice would be Garden Grill. Mickey is so cute in his farmer outfit and the other characters (Pluto, Chip & Dale) are great as well. The food is served family style and is actually really tasty.

Second choice would be Hollywood and Vine. We didn't think the food was too bad and the characters are a lot of fun (much prefer this to Chef Mickeys).
