Does SW still offer fun cards for practically the same price of a 1 day admission. This would be for a non FL. resident.

yeah, you can still get the fun card. But i'd go with an annual pass to sea world aquatica for not much more, then you get free parking and discounts.

On the way work this morning, I was listening to K92FM, an Orlando radio station, and there was a commercial about the Fun Card They said it was for Florida residents only. Kind of surprised me because in past years anyone could buy it.
I just checked the web site and the fun card is listed under Florida Residents tickets but not under Orlando visitor's tickets. They may have gone back to the original way it was offered when we bought it years ago and had to show our Florida Driver's license every time we went to the park.

That is why I asked because I couldn't find a way to buy a funcard for non florida residents. I might just call and ask.

One other year the ads and site were like they are this year, yet anyone could buy them, so definitely call and ask about it The new owners may be tightening the belt though-who knows?

Fun cards are no longer available online to non Florida residents :(. The wesbite blocks you from proceeding without a Fla billing addres. however some visitors have managed to buy them on the gate

Get the heck out!! I wonder if I call they could tell me if I could buy them at the gate.

I'd like to hear what happens...we wanted to get one (had one a few years ago) but web site has FL residents only.
thanks

Our fun cards expired at the end of 2008. I still had them and decided to see if I could renew. When I entered the barcode # all our information came up for every member of the family but it would only let me renew as an annual pass and not what it previously was a fun card. :confused3

Ok, so I emailed guest services at SW about getting fun cards for non-florida residents. They told me that indeed you could not purchase them online however, they could be purchased in advanced by calling the parks 800 number or at the gate. Oh and they are 78.95 plus tax per person.

The friends we are visiting in April went to their AAA office to get their Fun Cards. They said they were getting company from the north and were taking us. The AAA asked if they wanted to get our cards at the same time. They did. They did need our bdays to get them.

anyone been in the parks lately to find out if you are a non-fl res and buy the fun card at the gates? or upgrade your current tickets at teh end of the day to the fun card. We had done the upgrade in prev years.

thanks

The fun card is a "pay for a day come back all year" deal offered to locals.

From the website:

A Fun Card in your pocket is your anytime ticket to new attractions and incredible entertainment throughout the year including:

•Bands Brew & BBQ
•Viva la Musica
•SeaWorld AfterDark
•Halloween Spooktacular
•Jack Hanna
•The Polar Express Experience
•New Year's Eve

*Price based on an adult single day admission. Price is per person, plus tax and subject to change without notice. Fun Cards expire 12/31/10 and are non-transferable and non-refundable. Offer not valid with other discounts or special offers. Fun Cards do not include admission to select special events, parking or discounts on food or merchandise. Other restrictions may apply.

I called SW in the beginning of this year about residents of other states purchasing the Fun Card. They said it was available to others however, you couldn't order online. It can only be purchased by phone or at gate for
non-FL and GA residents.

We were there the end of Jan/first of Feb and we were able to go to the gate and upgrade our tickets before we left.

We did this at Busch Gardens Tampa also but there we were told that you had to do it before you enter the park on your second day (we had buy a day get a day free ticket).

So we are going back in Nov/Dec.
