Can anyone give a reccomendation for here? Would love to know if it's worth the $$$.

Thanks

We usually stop by once or twice a visit -- my wife loves their crab claws! Me, I'm partial to the crab cake sandwiches.

The place has been almost empty when we've been there around lunch time, so we've never had trouble getting a decent table.

Fish is very VERY fresh -- they post the delivery receipts by the front door, so you can see (or, um, sea) for yourself.

Try it. I think you'll like it.

We also love Fultons and think it is worth the $$$$. Our family has enjoyed the shrimp pasta, crab cakes, salmon, fried shrimp, crab claws, and frilled shrimp with rice. All have been very good.

dh and i both like fultons. :) especially the alaskan king crab! :teeth:

Haven't missed Fulton's on a trip in years! Fresh everything....sometimes we go, sit at the bar and share chowder and caesar salad with grilled shrimp with a glass of vino or beer...and others we do the whole nine yards. Never had a bad meal or service! Value is relative.....expect to pay around $100 for dinner for two for dinner with trimmings and a drink or two....not too bad by Disney or any other standards. Try it for lunch, if you like it you can always go back for dinner.

I agree with the other posts--Fultons was excellent. I love King Crab legs, but the King Crab claws were pre-cracked and HUGH!!!!!!!!! They were very much worth the visit and cost.

We just love Fultons's. Never had a bad meal, everything is sooo fresh and delicious. We usually eat here at least twice every trip. As stated in earliar posts I would try lunch and if you like it go for dinner. IMHO it is definetly worth the money.

Appears it falls to Uncleromulus to cast a dissenting vote. Been there 4 times and each time the service was simply AWFUL!!!

Should say that the food isn't too bad, and the location is pretty.

Is it worth the $$$??
No.

My husband agrees with Uncleromulus. I haven't been to the boat since it became Fulton's but he has been twice on business trips. The service was so bad both times that he refuses to go back. It must have been really, really awful for him to feel so strongly as he usually will shrug off bad service as a bad night.

I have to agree with Uncleromulus and BCV23 husband.

We are not at all impressed with Fulton's. The restaurant is dirty, service poor and food quality equal to a Red Lobster but priced high.

Its a very pretty restaurant, I miss the old Empress Lily!!

For great seafood I suggest the FF!

Another disenter here. DH and I did not care for it at all. My lobster was overcooked and dry and the waiter spilled the drawn butter all over the plate. Don't remember what DH be he was less pleased that I. I agree with catheren. We loved the Empress Room on the Empress Lilly. Wish they'd bring it back.

I agree w/ UNCLEROMULUS. The service is horrible, the food is ok but DEFINITELY not worth the $$$$$$. There are too many places around that are better. If you want seafood, try the flying fish.

We ate there in Oct., '00, and won't go back. The service was fine, the appetizers and drinks were good, but the main course was WAY overpriced for the quality. I was surprised by the comments of an earlier poster mentioning the delivery notices... our stuff tasted frozen, and when I asked about this, it was confirmed.

Again, nice atmosphere but not worth the $$$$

(Isn't it amazing how widely diverse opinions of the same restaurant can be? That has always amazed me, and it seems to go way beyond personal preference. Oh well, that's why the variety at WDW is so wonderful!)

Thanks for the replies!!

Can someone tell me where this Flying Fish is??? Somehow I have missed it and never heard of it......shocking considering I have read everything known to man on Disney at this point....lol

Thanks

corky, it's on the Boardwalk next to the Boardwalk Inn. Vey good food and service with a funky decor. The Boardwalk is great fun at night.

FF is on the Boardwalk, right beside BWI. We ate at both Fultons and FF at the beginning of May. DH is the seafood lover-Has potato wrapped grouper at FF-I had Filet-really good. It was 8:30pm on a Wed night and FF was full to capacity. Joe our Waiter was great. He took our DS (an aspiring chef) back and introduced him to the head chef, who in turn took DS on a complete kitchen tour. Desserts are also very good. At Fultons, DH had lobster, I had steak sandwich, DD had fish and chips - all were just okay. The service at 3:30pm for lunch (we were the only table in the restaurant) was awful. We waited 10-15 minutes each time we asked for anything.
15 minutes to take drink order, 15 minutes to bring drinks and take food order, 15 minutes to bring appetizers (crab cakes were good), but the real topper was the 25 minutes to bring our bill. My DD actually went in search of our server to ask for it and he still took forever bringing it. When you are on the Gold Plan, tips are included in the bill. Believe me, this guy did not deserve the 15% he made.

Would never go back to Fultons. Not worth the energy. I live in the Bay Area and am picky about crab. Mine was dry, overcooked and NO SOURDOUGH BREAD! Are these people heathens!?! I'm sorry rye bread goes with crab the same way corn goes with pizza - it DOESN'T!

The waiter was incredibly rude. I was soooo bummed because this was our closing night dinner. We didn't even stay for dessert (a first) because I just wanted to get out of there!

WAY OVERPRICED for the service and quality of food.

Now Flying Fish I voted my #1 dining place 2 1/2 years ago. It dropped to #4 on my trip last year but there was stiff competition (Citricos, Artist Point, Jiko). The Fish is still GREAT and I recommend it.

They also have one of the best desserts on property (no, NOT the lava cake!). It is the banana creme brulee napoleon with caramel sauce. INCREDIBLE!
