For all who have eaten here, is the food good? I'm planning a "mommy only" trip in October and would like to eat here. DH is not a fish lover so this would be an opportunity for me to go there! :thumbsup2

It is VERY expensive, but we have always had great food and great service. We are going in September for our special 25th anniversary dinner with my best friend and her DH and paying out of pocket. It is the first Disney restaurant my DH ever took me to.

I haven't been there since it was the Empress Lilly. Now, how long ago was that????? :rotfl2: I figure I'll treat myself since it's not a place I would normally go since DH doesn't eat any sort of seafood.

Happy early Anniversary!!! :thumbsup2

I'm not doing the DDP this trip so it won't matter.

Oh yes; memories. Heck I remember when the only three hotels were the Contempory, Poly and Golf Resort which I believe is now the Shades of Green. And.....you had to make your hotel reservations at least a year out!!! :rotfl2: Now those are some memories!!! :lmao:

OMH I'm dating myself!!! Who cares; I'm a child at heart anyway....that's why I love WDW so much!! princess:

Thank you for the anniversary wishes. Good for you...we all need to treat ourselves once in awhile. I had the Alaskan King Crab Claws last night we were there--they were terrific.

Dissenting opinion here:
The food is nothing special but the service is horrible. You can do a lot better someplace else. What are you looking for in a dining experience?

I'm looking for good seafood, and of course service.

1) Pretty much "spot on".
2) However, the service and food quality ARE on the upturn.
3) Since they were sold out things are gradually getting better.
4) I think the change-process is too slow, but it IS improving.

Flying Fish and Narcoossee's come to mind. Look their menu up here on the DIS by clicking on "Dining" in the menu-bar near the top of this page. :disrocks:

I love Flying Fish. I want to try Fulton's some time though.

Take my advice and don't!
As OKW LOVER states, the food isn't that good and the service is pathetic. Flying Fish, Narcoosee's, or even Blue Zoo are much better seafood restaurants.

Maybe I'll try Flying Fish.
