So I have Fultos booked for our first meal...dh REALLY wants to eat there, but I have been hearing awful things about it...anyone have a good exprience?

What should we do in place of it?
Its a non park day so we are limited....
Opinions?

We have only been once, and absolutely loved it! This was maybe 3-4 years ago, but we loved it. Great food, great view, great atmospher! We were going to reserve for this Father's Day for DH, but weren't planning on going to DD that day. I haven't heard any bad reviews on it, read up some more and see if you would really like it. I would keep it if I were you! :thumbsup2

we were not impressed with Fulton's in 2009 and the bill was outrageous for the amount of food we got. we will never return. i would replace it, but that is just me.

We loved Fultons the twice we have eaten there. DH is a seafood fan so he enjoyed the selection. I don't eat seafood but had the Chicken and it was lovely. Service was good but on our last trip we were seated up stairs and would have rather been at a table on the lower deck looking out over the water. So my tip would be ask if you can get a table down stairs in the bar area.

This is not on our list for this year as DH fell in love with Cali grill and as futlons is not on the normal DDP (think it is on the very high level ones) we wont be going.

You can find lots of dining reviews here on the DIS. Just remember that everybody's taste is different and you should make up your own mind if you like a place. :disrocks:

We've eaten at Fulton's several times over the last six months and liked enough it's our current favorite. Like everything else, it comes down to tastes and expectations. People rave about California Grill and I wouldn't eat there if I was starving.

we went there on our last visit. Food was excellent (not sure how to post on here) service was very good, but agree with poster about the bill - by far the most expensive meal we had on property.

if you're looking for a memorable experience definately worth a trip!

If it's seafood that is primary (and Fulton's is a largely seafood spot) you'll do better at Blue Zoo or Flying Fish..

One of the better Disney captive restaurants but still horribly overpriced for what you get. Good - not great - food at lower high end pricing. For the same $$ there are other restaurants not within the gates that have a far better quality and presentation of great food.

With that said there are far worse within the gates and if you must stay inside them this is one of the better places you'll find there. But be ready to pay big.

Fulton's is one of our favorite restaurants! We have never had a bad meal there! If your DH loves seafood I would definitely go!:thumbsup2

My experiences there have always been good, although I admit I am not a "food expert".

One thing to consider is that their discounts for annual pass holders are the best of anywhere at WDW - sometimes as high as 30% off - and they also have a discount for DVC members.

The atmosphere is great. My food on the other hand? I wasn't impressed but it wasn't TERRIBLE. I would maybe go there every few years. I had lobster, it was not good at all. All in all though I liked the restaurant's ambience etc

We had eaten there several times and recently it has been hit or miss. This past March we had a family reunion meal there and everyone was up for seafood and sad to say not one of us was pleased with our meal from lobster to crab legs...and it's pretty darn hard to screw up snow crab. Not to mention the fact that the portions were appetizer sized.

So about $400 bucks later we've decided we won't be going back for awhile.

As for what could replace it...How about a great seafood place????

And to put this in context, not one of us are overly picky and I've been a pretty constant defender of Fultons. No more.

Totally agree on this one. The last time I ate at Fultons, I had a crabcake that was largely filler. I won't eat there again. Now the Bluezoo, totally delicious.:woohoo:

Although the food was good, I did feel it was overpriced.

Our server was not very attentive ... I kept telling my DH, he was more interested in spending his time on the couple that sat next to us (tables were so close we could have been buddies!). Anyway, it was ok but not one I would choose to experience again.

It is hard to base every ADR on what is said on the boards. Give it a try. I have read good reviews of Fulton's but it just wasn't the best place for us.

I can't imagine anything but a seafood place going into a boat-shaped restaurant - :)

I have never gone, but my dad went twice in 2009 and loved it. He's not one to rave about restaurants unless they're extremely delicious.

Thanks for all the reviews...I didnt realize it wasnt on the DDP so we had to change...
We decided on

Sun Whispering Cayon dinner
Mon Liberty Tree Tavern Lunch
Tues: Cape May Cafe dinner
Wed: Kona Dinnr
Thurs: Japan dinner
Fri Boma Breakfast

We have eaten there in the past and had a good time. Was it the best seafood we have eaten no but it wasn't the worst to say the least.I say go for it as it doesn't hurt to try anything at least once..:upsidedow
