Fuller House

I'm going to be the lone wolf here, but I thought the first episode was bad. Real bad. Not cheesy and nostalgic, but just embarrassingly horrible. Although I will say that the following episode wasn't quite as cringe inducing. That's as far as I've managed to get, though. I agree with the person who said that Stephanie is probably the best of this show.
This. I was a huge fan back in the day and just found it terrible. It is definitely not the family fun show that it used to be, it is pretty much a show geared towards those of us that were kids when it first aired and now it's for us adults but not the entire family. The middle son is absolutely terrible and reminds me of how terrible uncle jesse's kids were back in the original series.

Well...it's Full House. It's easy for us kids of the 80s/90s to get caught up in the nostalgia of Full House and how great it was when the truth is, it was never that great. I mean I love it, but it was always cheesy and hokey and the new version is no different. Neither are winning any awards. I can't help but think if the original suddenly became a new show in 2016 everyone would think it's terrible.

It's unfortunate that Mary Kate and/or Ashley are not involved though, considering they ended up being a HUGE part of the show's success back in the day. Full House does feel kind of weird without Michelle. One thing that bugs me is that they seem to be forcing two catchphrases ("Oh Mylanta!" and "Holy chalupas!"). Let the audience decide what they deem worthy of a catchphrase. I loved the Harry cameo! But I think the cameo we are all waiting for is of course....Mr. Bear!! ;)

Since someone mentioned Girl Meets World, Fuller House finally inspired me to try that one out. It's a fine show for what it is, but it could have just as easily gone on without the direct Boy Meets World connection. It's less of a continuation of the original, more of an inspired by. Cory and Topanga are relegated to little more than embarrassing bumbling buffoon parent background characters (as is typical of Disney Channel/Nickelodeon kids shows), so I don't even know why they bothered bringing them back.

DJ used to say " Oh, mylanta" ALL the time in the original.

"Holy Chalupas" is just dumb.

I hope for season 2, they pull that classic 90s sitcom move of switching out one child actor for another because that Max kid has GOT to go.

Whoa, she DID? HOW do I not remember that?? :scared1: I remember all of the other ones but for whatever reason Oh my lanta is just not ringing a bell. As someone who used to watch Full House SO MUCH as a kid, I am truly ashamed! :sad2:

I was a huge fan of Full House as well but I don't remember the "Oh my lanta"-phrase either. I like Fuller House but mostly because of the nostalgic part. I grow up with it and I'm about the same age as Stephanie. Sharing the name as well was a huge thing back then ;-) I'm looking forward to a new season.

So What did everyone think of season 2 so far? Not a fan of Jimmy Gibbler and Kimmie ex

I loved it! And seeing NKOTB:lovestruc I would really like to see more of Danny, Joey, Rebecca and Jesse. The show's not the same without them, and I wish they'd make more than two appearances. I'd say more, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

I finally watched the first episode and am slowly working my way through season one. I enjoy how cheesy the show is. For the most part I do enjoy the adult versions of DJ, Steph and Kimmy.
