Hi everyone! Hubby and I are planning a family trip for the weekend of Thanksgiving, but Magic Kingdom is all booked up on the day we are going. Does anyone have any tips on how often should I check to see if they have any openings? I have my ticket but he doesn't. I've been checking constantly since last night but no luck yet. :(

Unfortunately the answer it 'as often as you can.' We ran into a lot of this in the spring when park capacity was reduced, but there did not seem to be a specific time of day when things opened up. It's more about looking often and hoping someone has dropped a reservation.

One recommendation is to actually try to book something and not rely on the 'Availability Calendar' as the calendar is not updated real-time.

I wish it were different but sadly this seems to be the way people found availability. The good news is, most often people eventually found something! Hope you do too!

We haven’t been to the parks since the reservations started, but it seems like your best bet would be to have both of your tickets purchased so you could make reservations for both of you at the same time. I believe you need a ticket to make a reservation.
Good luck!
