Full size cribs

Staying at BLT in 2 weeks. Was planning on letting both DD's share a bed. The youngest is 2. But now thinking that it may be better for the older one if we got DD2 a crib.

I know there are pack-n-plays there but my kids don't sleep in them. Tried. Doesn't work even at disney. We rented from Baby's Best Friend when DD2 was 5 months but was not crazy about them.

Does Disney offer full sized cribs at all? Even on first come first server basis or is it just those tiny port-a-cribs?

Just the pnp sized metal cribs.

And they only come with a crib sheet. I called yesterday and asked. I really wanted to get one from ABBF, but dh said he didn't want the extra added expense. I can see how this trip is going to go!

Our boys 2 & 3 during our last trip shared a bed but they sometimes do at home as well. If you are staying in a 1BR the chair folds out to be a single bed that might help. Others have talked about bringing a twin or toddler air mattress for a child to sleep in if the pnp doesn't work for you.

During our stay at VWL last May, we requested a pnp, but they brought us a giant metal crib. Came with a sheet and bumper, and was difficult to maneuver in the 1br.

We had a almost full size metal crib last March at OKW. It's a request only, no guarantee. We brought a mattress pad from home.

We got a full size metal crib at both OKW and BCV. It was 3 years ago. We were told you could not reserve them in advance, and that it was a first come request as there were not many available. I agree with the comment about it taking up alot of space. In OKW is was fine, but at the BCV it was hard getting around it. I'm guessing each resort is different. Maybe post on the regular boards about people requesting cribs at the Contemporary Resort and see if anyone has gotten one there, then you would know they have them at that resort, so your chances would be better.

That's what I told my dh. Hopefully if we run into problems ABBF will still have crib rental availability!
