Hey, thought some Disneylanders might be interested in this (not sure if it's been posted before...).

I've managed to get a complete set of badges that they give for celebrations at the park, and took a picture! Take a look!

Neat! We'll be getting the anniversary one and the birthday one next trip. :)

Do you go to City Hall and ask for them? We can use a birthday one and a first timers one on our next trip in March!

The celebration one is adorable.

Yes, just go to City Hall. If you're staying onsite, they can get them for you, too, just let them know ahead of time or as you check in.

We got 1st visit buttons from a Peter Pan CM...she asked if it was our first time *on the ride*, and we said yes b/c it was (I'm sure Robert and I went as kids, but hadn't been on it since then), and she handed us the 1st visit buttons...very strange.

And if you want some confused looks, just have one of a couple wear the Happy Anniversary button! Hubby wore his every day of our vacation for our anniversary, and I got tired of it on the second day...that confuses people.:rotfl:

What is the Happily ever after Specifically for, it is so cute!!!!

I made Dh wear his Anniversary pin, though most of the time it was under his jacket hahaha!

Lol, I asked the castmember what the Happily Ever After one was for, and she didn't have a clue either!

She told me that for the Honorary Citizen of Disneyland badge, she gives it to like the brothers and sisters of kids getting the birthday badge, so they don't feel left out. Isn't that sweet! Apparently, she sees their little eyes peeking over the counter at all the badges she has.

When I first saw it, I thought- oh awesome! Now gay couples don't have a gender specific pin- when we went to celebrate our wedding/anniversary, we got a pin with mickey and minnie on it, and I don't know- it was a button with a boy and girl on it, and we were not a boy and girl. So maybe the happily ever after is a gender neutral solution? That was my first thought anyway :)

OH my goodness, I never noticed that. That's rotten. :mic:

But I'm sure you could request the Happily one for whatever occasion.

So all these badges are still being handed out ongoing?

Would I have to prove it's my "first *cough* visit" to get one? :groom:

We just returned from our trip and while my 2 year old DD and I were waiting for my older daughter to get off Muholland Madness, a random CM walked up to her and asked her to pick a pocket. He pulled out a Happily Ever After pin for her. I thought that was so neat! pixiedust:

When we went last November (before I had discovered the Dis) a very friendly CM gave my children each an Honorary Citizen of Disneyland. We were deciding to stay an extra day and couldn't figure out if we had to pay for another ticket (we didn't know you could add extra days on) and she gave us a day for FREE! (and the badges for the kids) :cool1:

My kids got the Honorary Citizen ones the first time we took them a year ago. Now for the life of me I can't remember where/how they got them. We did get "dreamed" but I don't think that was it.

Yes, that will be the trick. Getting DH to wear his! And then I have to make him wear his birthday pin too. :rotfl:
