Full Hookup Sites.

A group of us will be camping at FW next year and after talking with the Disney rep, it looks like we will be in one of the Full Hookup Loops. I've noticed that the paperwork says they will occomodate a rig 10' wide and up to 60' long. My concerns is the width as with my slides open, I'm right at 14' wide. Add another 5' for the awnings.

I've was told that they don't reserve a particular spot, but will try to make sure our site is large enough. If it were just me, I wouldn't have any problems in grabbing a premium site, but with a group of 16 families trying to stay together, it's hard for me to ask everyone to upgrade.

I've got a 42' toy hauler to back into a site, so while there is still time to make changes, I just want to make sure I'll be okay.

you will fit on preferred site with no problem ( a little tricky backing into some ) your driver side slides will hang over the edge of the pad. the premium sites have a wider pad so you have more of a patio.

Some of the full hookups are pretty big. As long as they have your info and you're decent at backing. No problem.

My rig is 60' hooked up and backing it up, believe it or not, is very easy. My biggest concern was being able to open both of my awnings.

I think you could switch and swap within your group to accommodate people. Just go back up to tell Disney when you get it all figured out.

Another question about full hooks ups - do all full hook ups have cable or only the preferred full hook ups?

Our favorite loop is the 1800. The sites are the largest and roomiest of all the full hookups. Many have 14 ft wide pads and have lots of extra space. I have seen many 40-45 foot class A's with multiple slides and a patio awning in the 1800 loop. You may want to call the front desk the day before check-in and request site 1809 or 1808, they are huge, great for big rigs. Do not worry, you will fit on a choice of many sites. We were dedicated Full Hook Up (1600 mostly) junkies from 1985 till 2010 (that's 25 years and like 17 stays at FW) till this last trip and it always was a "jockeying experience" getting our older 26' and now our 31' TT and full sized Van in the site. It's doable, but now after our first stay in a preminum loop (1400), there is no way I'm going back to a full hookup site. This last trip was the first time I backed in on the first try One thing you can do is to ask for the outside sites on the loop since the inside sites seem harder to get long rigs in.
