Full Hook Up Site for February?????

Friends of ours have decided they "might" want to come visit us for a few days while we are visiting 2-11 thru 16th. I've checked for availability this morn for a full hook up and there isn't anything available. I wasn't surprised! They have a young adult son who is handicapped and in an electric wheelchair also and they have an rv with a lift, etc. so they don't need a handicapped room. Does anyone have an opinion whether there are many cancellations for this kind of site. Should I check every day? Any suggestions would be welcomed. There was availability for a handicapped cabin but I don't think they'll want to spend the extra $$($249) when they already have somewhere to sleep. Thank You so much!!!!!

Keep trying back a couple times everyday. Its especially important to call right at 7am in the morning when the phone lines open. Cancelled reservations are suppose to be entered into the system over night so they are available then to be snatched up . You are still several weeks out and there is a chance to snag an opening. I would make back up plans however. Good Luck

Thanks for the info!!!!!!! Is there a toll free # to call or do I continue with the normal #. Do you have any additional info on any KOA's or other campgrounds in the area?

Here is WDW's 800 number: 800-828-0228. I've never stayed at another campground in the area, but I have heard that Tropical Palms is a good alternative when openings at FW are unavailable. It is within a few miles of Disney.

I had to cancel our Jan. 07 and our 2/11/07 arrival at FW a few weeks ago.

Knowing that I was going to have to cancel I started calling in Sept. to try and get a site for Marathon Weekend. Called almost every morning at 7:00AM with no luck until last week.

Moral of the story is keep on trying but booking an alternative is advised.
