FULL 7DMT ride - no cuts at all

:drive:

Yea, tough to justify, isn't it. A company smaller than Disney can maintain a Disney park better than Disney AND pay Disney licensing fees on top of it all!

I still say, the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train now has proven Disney CAN build a great ride. Just saying, wouldn't it be nice if they could do as well as the smaller company using the Disney name. Imagine Splash Mountain with all their currently dead characters replaced with this technology as a beginning .... Then Haunted Mansion, Small World....ok, that's getting exciting!

Hopefully, they have opened a can of worms.....and expectations with this new ride!

Oh I agree, Disney does not have the market cornered on all technology and never will.

Looks awesome. Love love love it.

The grunting is weird though. I hope it's not really like that in person.

Nope, we get to discuss the FP+/lines/stampedes for 7DMT first ;)

Disney keeps hitting home runs alright. :thumbsup2

My two and a half year old keeps driving me nuts with wanting to go on the ride thanks to her older brother... Shes 39 inches tall but I think its a bad idea.... Am I being silly or is it too much?

This shows the entire ride - no cuts at all. It has the entire dark portion and the cottage scene at the end...

Dark ride portion - 33 seconds plus the lift hill (another 27 seconds)
Ride Duration - approx. 2:40

Hold up. So its not 1:40 with the dark section 30 seconds including the lift?

I thought that is what you have been beating into our head for a while now.

If it's a child who likes rides I'd say it looks tame enough

Actually, if you read my posts I said it was a 2 minute ride with a 30 second dark portion NOT including the lift hill.

Try again.;)

Am I the only adult waffling on whether I'm able to ride this one? LOL

I'm a gigantic chicken. I whooped and hollered through Barnstormer, much to my kids embarrassment!

Looks good from the chopper. pixiedust:

Looks like it will be fun to ride at night! :woohoo: Please be open by the end of May!

JMO - If you are unsure, try Barnstormer first (because it is so short, it'll be over quickly if she doesn't like it) and if she does fine with that, go for it. My oldest and youngest are quite tall for their age and they were riding the coasters at a young age and never had an issue. Every kid is different, though.

I love the look of the ride! To quote my DD11 - "That looks like a ride that we could have fun on, but also bring Grammie and DCousin (age 3) on, too.":thumbsup2

Couldn't pass along THIS challenge!

It's GREAT Disney finally tried something new. The sad news? It's not at all new.

Get on a long-long flight and visit Tokyo Disneyland; a truly unique Disney product. Here they refurbish old rides and build new ones, constantly clean and maintain their parks.

What is new and cutting edge with these adorable seven dwarfs is pretty much standard throughout Tokyo Disney.

Out there $$$$$ is spent to keep their entire operation cutting edge, not just one ride.

Want to see? (Yea, I have suggested this before. WAY too good an example)

Go to YouTube and watch Tokyo Disney Dreamlight Parade. Now compare that to our poor, run down, sad, Main Street Electrical Parade. Never thought it was until I saw what THIS parade looks like.

Sigh. Imagine an entire park kept at the cutting edge like Tokyo Disneyland. We would have to give our Disney Kool Aiders oxygen!!!

Yes TDL has a sterling reputation. But, from everything I have read, there are some cutting edge elements to this new Mine Train ride which have never been done before. In particular, the AAs use new and innovative technology in a way that Disney parks have never done before.

Instead of going off topic and talking about the parades, how about naming a ride at TDL that actually uses similar tech to create the faces on their AAs?

Actually they use the technology at Radiator Springs in DCA. My only gripe about the Dwarfs is that their faces look too bright.

Does anyone know what the riding height will be?

This reminds me of BTM, so I'm wondering if it would be around the same height requirements?

38". One inch for my DS to grow before August! I think he can do it!

This is going to be a over top amazing attraction.

The theming is perfect . The autoanimatronics is innovative and steps above all others anywhere. I have seen a video of the tunnel close up and its far better then this video can show.

Bravo Disney Magic.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2......thanks for a attraction that is innovative and everything else Disney is known be able to do. It may not have started as a E Ticket, but is seems that is what was created.

AKK

:thumbsup2 Agreed!

But more importantly, no video can capture what it's like to be ON the ride, either. Only the human eye can capture all the nuances.

:thumbsup2 This is an important point. It cannot be judged fully until experienced fully.

It will be fine. They know what they are doing. If she is tall enough to ride it will be totally safe. That means the safety measures will work properly. Don't worry a bit, let the kids decide if it's for them. Enjoy!
