BA reduced their longhaul fuel surcharges for all flights after 17th December. We booked our flights on 24th November for October - are we entitled to a refund?

DH says yes - I say no chance :lmao:

Anyone any idea before I waste time calling BA ;)

It is a no I am afraid so no point ringing BA or anyother company as they all do the same.

The reduction is only from when you booked not when you take the flight. Same goes for if the price goes up they do not charge you more if you have booked previously.

Has anyone received any further notification regarding the refunds from BA or Virgin that were offered for the fuel surcharges on ye olde flights?

It's been that long since I applied for it, I'd totally forgotten - wasn't it flights in 2005-2006 or something?

Yes I recieved an email the other day from the claim lawyers about this, apparently there has been an objection to part of agreement by 3 people and will take another 6 months or more to hear these objections.
