Fuel my route gas prices

As anyone used the fuel my route website for road trips while driving I was wondering how far off the route are the gas stations listed are they accurate prices

Interesting site. I've never tried it but just played around with it a few minutes. I see there is an option for how far off the route to show gas stations. Also there is an option for how far apart you expect your gas stops to be so that's nice.

However, I've been using Waze in the car (well, the passenger actually uses the ap) for road trips recently and they have a function that will search for gas prices near where you are at that moment. I find that more helpful because gas mileage varies by driving habits and I may not actually need gas at the defined intervals that "Fuel my route" provides.

I looked at a similar fuel planning site. The default settings had me filling up with less the 1/2 gallon of gas left in my tank.

I agree with the PP, use something like Waaze or gasbuddy when you're ready to get gas. I'd get gas when I need to stop to change drivers, take a "rest stop" or meal break.

I a driving alone and really don't want to depend on apps on my phone I was going to print out the fuel route for reference leaving Monday I'll see how accurate the gas prices are as I go thanks for your help
