FTP extension - already sold out for my dates!

Well, I just got an email from my DU agent saying that although the extended dates are now in Disney's system, my week is already (!) sold out at the GF. It seems a "VERY LIMITED block of rooms is set aside for the FTP for each resort" and my week (11/8 - 11/15) is not available . I guess I'm back to waiting for those November codes to come out (hopefully) in July...bummer!

Keep trying- availability seems to come up daily. I couldn't get my mom the room we wanted at the GF in August and I just kept checking the disney.com site for availability (sometimes several times a day) and we eventually got it.

You may want to consider adjusting your travel dates, as I believe Super Soap weekend is Nov 7-9, that is probably the reason that the package is not available. Its probably only one or two nights too!

Is it available at other monorail or deluxe resorts? Perhaps the savings are enough to justify changing resorts.

I think the DU agent must have been right about the "VERY LIMITED" availability. I just called WDTC and inquired about FTP availability for 4 different room types at the Poly, the WL and the VWL (that all show availability on the regular part of the website, for pretty much all the room categories) and struck out for the first week of November.

Maybe because November is already value season, they only released a very limited number of rooms for the package.

I got the FTP at POR for 11/2 through 11/9 last evening about this time, with the nicest WDTC rep you could ask for....Keep trying, pixie dust may come your way too! MaryAunt

I had just called for the same dates Nov. 8-Nov.15 but not for the GF. I inquired about Moderates which were still available and inquired about two Deluxes. As to my inquiry reg. WL - courtyard rooms were sold out for that time, only wood view available. AKL savannah view rooms were available. I am thinking about changing my dates now that I know that the soap weekend is during that time.

I am trying the same thing. I called CRO myself this afternoon and if I change my dates by only 1 day, I can get the 3 rooms I need at the GF with the FTP! Believe it or not, I never even thought of this until 1 or 2 of you very helpful folks suggested it to me ! I'll say this, I don't think I will ever go to WDW in November again - there are just too many variables. I love the F&W Festival, but I'll do end of October again on my next trip!

Unfortunately, today was a crazy day (death in the family) and I really didn't have the time to pursue it any further. Hopefully, in the morning, those rooms will still be available for us...I'll keep you all posted...

I was checking out disney web site for the price of the FTP for Oct. at Coronado Springs and the they didn't have any available for that week. I then checked out 7 days (the same dates as before) "room only" and they had them. so that tells me that the FTP is very limited to the different resorts.

Don't change your plans because of SuperSoap Weekend.

If you want to avoid the crowds avoid The Studios.

Actually, we were there for SSW in 2001, and while The Studios were crowded, we walked onto all the major rides with little or no wait (we actually ran between ToT and RRC for two hours riding over and over again, with NO waits).

90% of the people there are there to see the Soap stars and not there to ride any attractions. We were there to do both .

But the rest of the week, was not crowded at all, just like it usually is in November.

We're booked already at YC Nov 8 to 15. I remember "talking" with you Phyllis just awhile back. Didn't you already have reservations at GF or were you waiting for the deals to come out? If you're able to adjust your dates, that is great. Lucky we're already booked because my husband's vacation is not adjustable. Now, depending on the weather, it will make my decision on when we travel next time to WDW. I just wanted to save some money and be in value season by going in Nov but I prefer Oct's warmer weather. We'll see...

Hi Disneyolic! I found out this morning that my TA was able to get us the FTP if we shift our vacation dates to 11/10 - 11/17! We saved $1300 on our vacation! Luckily for us, my husband's vacation time is flexible and I have not yet bought airline tickets. Someone else on these boards had suggested switching resorts to try to get the FTP, but we just are in love with the GF and wanted our parents to experience it, too.

We went in late October last year and it was really hot and humid, which is why we chose November this year. How cool is it usually in November - too cool to use the pools (I hope not)?
