Can you walk between the two? If you can about how far would it be? Is Wilderness Lodge more towards the Pioneer Hall end of FW or the other end (if that makes sense)!

Thanks!

There is a paved walkway between WL and FW. It is maybe a mile long. WL is on the Pioneer Hall side of FW.

Is it possible to get off the boat at WL from FW? I tend to get seasick :guilty: and was wondering if I'm not just better off taking the bus, although I've heard people say the boat is quickest. I'd appreciate any information you guys could give me to help me decide whether to chance it: time it takes from FW to MK, number of people on boat, that type of thing...
Thanks, really appreciate it.

We spend the whole winter at the Fort, and ride the boat a lot. I have NEVER, NEVER, EVER seen anyone get sea sick on a Disney boat! Just take the big boat if it looks windy. Big boats usually go to MK and small ones to the hotels. The big ones hold about 120 people or more>

There is also now a direct bus that goes from Settlement Bus stop to Ft. Wilderness.

Since the Settlement bus stop is already at FW, I assume you mean WL.

NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE has motion sickness as bad as I do. I can only stand about 30 minutes in the car and I have a headache. I do not do very many rides other than the slow/dark ones. BUT, I have never gotten sick on the boats at WDW or the monorail. The boats are very slow moving, and the ride is not that long. We have stayed at OKW and taken the boat to DTD, and stayed at WL and taken the boat all aound the lake. We even rented a pontoon boat last trip....we love the boats at WDW. Very slow and relaxing! We also walked from WL to FW a couple of times (cool weather) and enjoyed that too! :lovestruc

Yep, I meant Wilderness Lodge. (oops!!!!)

Thanks to all of you for the advice, I guess I'll take a chance.
