Just called in to WDW-DINE to make ADRs for Thanksgiving this year. I was trying to book dinner @ Fort Wilderness' "Thanksgiving at the Fort".

The CM was having a hard time looking up the event at first because, apparently, WDW has changed the name to something else - "Mickey's Thanksgiving Feast" or something like that.

Never having been to WDW for Thanksgiving, I don't know what "Thanksgiving at the Fort" was like, so I won't know if/how "Mickey's Thanksgiving Feast" will differ. I was hoping someone could help me fill in the blanks.

It appears that there will be four seatings that day - 12, 2, 4 and 6. Is the event just a 90-minute T-giving feedbag with a character meet-n-greet on the side? Two adults and two kids cost close to $200. I'm sure there is a holiday surcharge in the mix, but still - that's almost Hoop-De-Doo money. I would hope that I'll be getting something that approximates Hoop-De-Doo value.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks much.

There are two Thanksgiving meals at the Fort.
. . . Trail's End restaurant ("Trail's End Thanksgiving")
. . . Mickey BBQ pavilion ("Thanksgiving at the Fort")

Thank you. As I mentioned, according to the CM, the name has changed from "Thanksgiving at the Fort" to something else. That is why she had trouble finding the event in the reservation system.

Per Rusty Scupper, you can just go out to dinner at Trail's End buffet, OR you can go see a Mickey's Barbecue Show. Which do you want? A show or just dinner? From your initial post, you indicated you wanted to make dinner reservations at the Fort, so make sure you're reserving what you want.

The show is fine. But the point of my post was to find out if the change in the Thanksgiving event title brought along a change in format as well. Since the name change came as a surprise to the CM, I'm wondering if there are any other changes she's not aware of.

My guess is that the event itself is unchanged, but I wasn't sure.

Thanks to you both for the info.
