Ft Wilderness Railroad video/ River Country video

I believe this was posted several months ago...but with TCDs report about the railroad tracks....I figured some may enjoy it again.

I absolutely love when the train passes the playground with the totem poles, teepees, and large wooden forts.....the Fort certainly was beautiful. It still is...but I feel like us new comers have missed out on alot.

Appreciate the memories. I did not take very many pictures of the railroad when it was there, because I always assumed it would be there. The same for River Country.

Now I take extensive videos & photos everytime we go. I get asked by family & friends why do I take so much or many and I tell them that you never know when it will be gone.

I vaguely remember riding the train when I was a kid. I certainly remember that playground. I spent a lot of time there.

I have never been to the fort (this will be our first time) but I see how sad it is to lose a memory like that. We will never get to enjoy River Country, Discovery Island, or the RR at the Fort. I promise I will make good memories for my kids and take a ton of pictures to remember them by. Thank you all for sharing

For of you that didn’t know the trail station was a cover area across the road from where you pick up the bus by the marina. After the train stopped Disney used the covered area for golf cart parking with electric but it had limited parking because of the covering. So sometime in late 90’s or 200o’s Disney took the cover down to make more room for golf cart parking. As you see in the above video that is the area I’m talking about.
