Are they worth the investment? We're kicking around plans for a cabin stay (versus a family suite at all star music) and from what i've gathered reading other posts the cabins are somewhat isolated and the carts offer a good way to get around.
We were there last year for Hoop-De-Doo and my oldest boy was asking after them. I think the fact that he's 11 and would be allowed to drive one, while his younger sister and brother would not, might have something to do with why he's so gung-ho on staying at a cabin this year. :)

Golf carts are about $50 a day, as for worth it or not would really depend on how much time you will use it. If you are going to be a parks all day it may not be worth the money. Unfortunatly for your DS he is not old enough to drive it, you must be 16 years old and have a valid drivers liscens.

If you go over to the camping board you will find many opinions as to whether or not to get a cart.
