Anyone know offhand how many people they seat? :D Sorry tried a search but it was down.

TIA~

I would say 4 adults,2 in front and 2 in the back. If it is children you can usually fit 3 in the seat.

My understanding is there are only a few that seat 6. I reserved one already for a week this summer.
When I made the reservation initially I did not specify the 6 passenger. After he completed my reservation I mentioned that I wanted to 6 passenger and not the standard 4. He said "Oh! That's probably not available". Lucky for me it was available but I definitely got the impression there were not many. I was also very glad I called early.
FYI - There is a slight discount if you rent for the entire week.

Where can you drive to around the resort - is it worth renting?

How much is it to rent the golf carts? Where can I find info on them?
Any help would be appreciated, will be in WDW Jan 31st.

Jodi1980: You can drive just about anywhere with the carts...once you get into FW you can't drive your car anywhere because there's no where to park it except where you're staying (although they do have 15-minute parking at the store). we drove all over FW just checking out the different loops (cabin loops and camping loops), and also to the marina to catch the boat to MK. My then 2 yr. old loved riding around everywhere (maybe even more than going to the parks). Sometimes we'd get the urge to just go to one of the little stores on property so we'd jump in the golf cart and go...very convenient.

CarolinaBoy: I believe it still costs $45.58/day (that price includes tax) to rent a cart...if you rent for a week I think it was $287.16 total for us, so you save a little. You can call the bike barn at (407) 824-2742. Make sure you reserve one before you get there because they're known to run out.

When we stayed in the cabins 2 years ago, we saved money by renting from an offsite company. I made a reservation and they delivered the golf cart to FW. It was waiting when we arrived. It seems like we saved about $40 for a one week rental. Our cart did not have a windshield though - making for a few chilly rides. I didn't know to request a windshield! :D I would strongly recommend a cart. We used it a lot.

I don't remember the name of the company, but I bet if you search the camping board, you could find it.

Have fun!

FW does not allow outside companies to deliver golf carts anymore. This new rule was following 9/11. If you have a trailer, you can bring in your own golf cart though, or pick one up at an outside location and bring it in. They just don't allow the companies to bring them for you.
