I would not look at any of the 2042 charts and focus more on the newer resort charts for decisions between studios or 1 bedrooms.
These will sleep 6 which is more than studios and 1 bedrooms at all the resorts. And, the square footage is something that has been used in determining the
point chart differences when other resorts are built.
Since these are all going to be the same type of accommodation, the only potential booking difference could be location...maybe they have preferred loops/spots?
Having that one (potentially two) extra sleeping space could be a big plus for some. Sure, there are certainly 2 bedrooms currently that cost around the same as some of the studios at RIV, but people are still choosing smaller spaces like RIV, VGF, and Poly over AKV....
So, these cabins will have two distinct spaces sleeping more people, most likely a kitchen set up similar to the current cabins (not found in studios), and the possibility of a washer and dryer.
If I am a family with kids doing studios...remember, that is the reason many believe the resort studios would be popular...the new DVC market is families who don't want/need those larger type rooms....and I can now get something like this for similar points and don't mind the resort area? Yeah, I think 30 to 35 points per night isn't out of line.
ETA: I just looked at the max reallocation chart for AKV....if all things were equal with no change in seasons or views, for 1 bedrooms they are 36 points....but they sleep 4 vs. these that will sleep 6...so, IMO, I can definitely seem that averaging 30 points a night (if not more)
