We are planning a trip mid-July. How is the campground at this time. especially mosquitos-bug-wise. How are the air conditioners at the cabins in the middle of summer and anything else you can think of?
Thanks

Our previous 3 trips have been in July. Last July, we traveled with friends who stayed in a cabin. Their cabin was great, air conditioning worked well and had plenty of space. We didn't have mosquito problems. A previous trip we had poison ivy issues though. :scared1:

We do take insect repellent with us just in case.

The cabins are great anytime fo the year. The air conditioners are very good. You can set them for whatever temp you want.

The mosquitoes aren't too bad but we always take some OFF just in case. We had more trouble with yellow flies which again, weren't too bad. Just be prepared.

You'll have a wonderful time!

You should not have a terrible problem with the mosquitoes, especially since FW has cleared out a lot of the underbrush around recently. I would take some repellent just in case. It really depends on how "sweet" you are to them. I can usually find one within a 100 miles, so I bring it. ;)

As far as the air conditioners go, my parents sometimes stay in the cabins while we are in our MH and she cranks the AC down to frostbite and never has had a problem. They work REALLY well.

Enjoy yourself!
