Hello all,

I am leaving on the 10/9 Western Magic. Going though my list of "to dos" including confirming reservations. OUCH! Called Radisson to confirm my room for 5 people and was told I had a room that held 4 and that they were all booked up!

What the? I booked this room over a month ago directly with Bridget at the hotel. Now Radisson is telling me they booked me the wrong room and they are full! They had better go out and purchase a rollaway or I'm going to through a fit in their lobby.

Oh....I did not need this now. :worried:

Did you ask them about a roll-away? I think I read somewhere that they do have them. I hope it all works out!!

Hello Endkaos,
I am sending your post to someone I know will do everything possible to make things right for you - he was responsible for helping a young family who were dropped off at the Radisson the day before Jeanne hit and they were caught up in such a mess until J.R. stepped in and worked miracles during a very very trying time. I know he will do everything within his power to help and he will get in touch with you ok? Believe after seeing what J.R. did, I have a lot more respect for the staff of the Radisson.
Hope it gets straighten out real soon.
Always
Shirley

They did this exact same thing to us on our last stay with them. I had booked a one bedroom suite with 2 beds in the room and they gave us a suite with only 1 bed in there and we're also a family of 5. Do you have a confirmation letter showing 5 guests on it? I did and they therefore had to bring up a rollaway bed for one of the kids free of charge. I will tell you that the rollaway was awful and my daughter ended up taking the mattress off and simply placing in on the floor to sleep.

Shirley is an angel. She had the manager from Radisson call me. Luckily there had been a cancellation and now we are correctly booked into the 2 bed king suite. 2 days until take-off.:Pinkbounc

I'm glad it worked out!! Shirley is a wonderful person :sunny:

the thanks is not to me believe me - I know a lot of folks simply because I have lived here so many years and have always tried to be the friend I would like someone to be to me - I have a deep respect for JP at the Radisson - I have seen him go to the edge for so many to make things right - after seeing what he did for that young couple Michael and Susie who got left here to fend for themselves just before Jeanne hit, I will step up to the plate to tell all the good side of him - Endkoas I am so glad that JP got hold of you - he called me right away as soon as I contacted him about your problem and said he would contact you asap - things have been so fusterating here since Charley, Frances and Jeanne - spirits are low and you watch so many wonder "whats next" but I too see a lot of faith - anyhow glad I could help and glad everything got settled.

The county's fire laws may prevent them from putting in a rollaway. Most hotels only allow 4 people to a room for this reason. So the girl that took the reservation goofed. You either have to book 2 rooms or a 2 room suite. This may be too late for you but Comfort Inn in Cocoa beach (it is like 3 or 4 blocks from Radisson) You can book a 2 room suite. It is a bedroom with 2 double beds and a livingroom with a couch with a pull out bed. You also get a microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator and separate sink from the bathroom. We paid $139 for 3 adults. If your children are under 18 you pay less even with 3 kids.

Comfort Inn had a nice big pool, a hot tub, a tennis court and a ping pong table. It was only a block from the beach which was great. they also do the free shuttle thing to the cruise port.

Personally, I think that Shirley and her husband are Tinkerbell and Jiminy Cricket in disquise!

I always find it amazing that when ever a manger gets involved, suddenly there was a cancellation. Same thing with us this summer. We were going to be stay for 4 weeks at Mystic Marriott in CT (on business). After having reserved a King non-smoking, when we checked in, they gave a smoking double bed room...I almost blew my top. Here we are with a 10 month old that sleeps with us 1/4 of the night and always thinks he has to make the letter H....and we're going to have a double bed. My husband had already stayed in this hotel 117 nights THIS YEAR...."May I please speak with a manger!!??" and voila - king bed non-smoking CONCIERGE level..... simply amazes me.
